This datalogger looks good, the sensor, battery and power supply are all built in so no need for cables. It is in the form of a USB stick so no cables when you want to download the data too.

They also do loggers for light,voltage and acceleration. Couldn't find a humidity one :(

The website that sells it has LOADS of interesting stuff.

Cool, somebody will be monitoring temperature and sunshine in their greenhouse this summer.

Utterly pointless I know, but I couldn't resist...

Don't know if I'd want a laptop in that environment lolo. Now if it had an RF remote senor...............

The USB stick is the logger; it doesn't have to be connected to the laptop to operate. Cool find steelrat!
 
That's cool. While this thread's up I should mention there's a thermometer that plugs into the headphone jack of iOS devices... might work on android too, dunno.

But it's a thermometer. It reads out on your iPhone or iPad. You could leave it in your res and plug it into your phone when you make the rounds. Pretty neat, but it's 50 usd... so kinda expensive. But hey, if you got the money...
