No, it's not a new strain!
Years ago, here in the UK, a woman was shot by police under outrageous circumstances. This left her paralysed from the waist down and she lived a shorter, less able life due to the shooting.
All the police have ever done is apologised. In the UK the police have NEVER been found criminally responsible for any of their actions that hav lead to someone's untimely death. Never!
Anyway, another thing that is happening here in the UK is the death of Legal Aid. Legal aid is a system that enables even the poorest of people to take on the largest of corporations. Our government sees fit to put an end to Legal Aid, citing 'austerity measures' when, behind the scenes, big business has been lobbying for this in order to stop prosecutions being brought against them by civilians.
So the family of Cherry Groce have already been refused Legal Aid twice but, since the signing of a huge petition, they are now being considered for Legal Aid and have got one step further than before.
