Lighting citizen 1212

I actually leaning towards 4000k myself. It's allot better for vegging with very little drawback in flower.

If i can find four heat sinks I think I might buy four of the 1212s now for supplemental lighting then change my room over to twelve total 1212s in three rows of four. I am running a 4x4 do you thing 12 1212s running 25w can support that through veg and bloom or should I wait and just do the 1818s? looking to do 4 or 5 plants at a time. do you think that 16 in a 4x4 is two much? This is where my indecisiveness gets me every time!

@BigSm0 Thank you for all your help and advice I really appreciate it.

If your going to run at 25 watts, you'll want 16 of the 1212 chips for 25 watts per sq.ft. if you ran them at 50 watts, you could run 12 and get 37.5 watts per sq.ft. That would be a great level for a low cost light! The drivers would be an easy upgrade later also, so you have different approaches. I'm sure @Big smo has other ideas also.

Lol the 90 cri just shifts the cure over to peak at 630nm.

Pops right. No matter how you slice it 400 watts is probably ideal for a 4x4. Some may disagree but I find that to be spot on with what a 600 does in the same space. You could go higher than this but I wouldn't recommend going much lower. If your cramming the tent with monster plants I'd probably go with the higher wattage and maybe do 3-200w bars.

So many variables go into making a light for your space. The 150w hlg-185 may be the best bet to start with.

Check the 4000k at 80cri. That's the perfect curve. Pushing it out to 630nm with the 90cri is nice but it falls on its face in veg. Did they add in colors like the chart on your tattoo?

How's the kinds doing? Post a picture mang

I will when I get home I'm in hazardous training class. They definitely seem to be doing the best with the old diodes mixed in.

yeah I don't know the 3500k seem fine in veg considering the lower 430ishNm are close to the maximum absorption rate anyway. Almost seems the opposite but I need to do a control to factor out human error.
