VAPORISER NAME:- Classic Volcano Vaporiser (Solid Valve Set)
TYPE OF VAPORISER (home or portable):- Home
DRAW METHOD (whip, bag, attached mouthpiece or drawn direct from unit):- Bag
COMPATIBLE MATERIAL (herb, oil or both):- Both (But I have only used herb)
COST(feel free to add link to store):-
£180 (second hand) Can get on amazon new for £315.
The original price tag says £350.
ACCESSORIES (have you added anything eg water cooler):-
Comes with a box of accessories. Thick wire mesh for oils, cylinder for bud, mesh packer, balloon, volcano unit, spare balloon, nice designs and sturdy packaging (Can easily fit in a medium/large bag and in the boot of a car for traveling to visit friends).
QUALITY OF VAPOUR (eg thick tasty plooms to no visible vapour with plastic taste):-
I found if you use it on the highest settings, its a bit harsh on the throat, tickles, hot, makes you want to cough a lot more on those deep draws. So I turn it down a bit, I think it helps retain some of the flavour. The vapour is warm, on 7.5 I take long deep draws about 4-6 to empty the bag. Its draws pretty easy, pushing in the mouth nozzle and pushing the max in for bigger hits, holding it in can tickle a lot, it has an auto shut mouth piece to stop vapour escaping, this is a great idea, ideal for passing or coming back to the balloon in a while. It doesn't really stink that much and the smell doesn't really travel, if you use it in a room it will smell a little bit but not as pungent as smoking a joint or a bong, I blow it out a window and it quickly clears, tend to light an incense to disguise possible smell detection from neighbours.
AMOUNT OF TIME OWNED:- Since Oct 2013
PERSONAL THOUGHTS (please be frank,if the vaporiser is poor we want to know):-
I have only used one other vaporiser (Airizer Extreme Q) so I don't have many others to compare it to.
When I put in a 1/4 cylinder of bud and pack it down, it fills the bag in just under a minute. Heat I used is 7.5. Gets me nice and high, if i wana get totally baked I will put more in. I have had trouble with some escaping from the bottom of the value, but leaks are helped by tape and elastic. Maybe this is just normal, perhaps I shouldn't worry about a little leakage when the bag is so large (tight ass). The mesh/packer has warped over time, but it still does the job, I might order a new one eventually. It could all do with a clean out and tune up, it is quite sticky sometimes, but I have not got round to it. The metal mesh packer, being above the heating element holding the buds gets quite hot. I would advise not immediately touching it to empty the chamber and refill as tempting as it is your finger tips might regret it, use a cloth
. You can buy replacement parts (I lost the mouth piece once and ordered a new one online, found it in the end at a friends I had visited weeks before), the replacement parts are not cheap, but they are good quality. The vape is quite discrete generally, I am pretty sure someone who didn't know its function would not instantly guess what it is on just a glance. I leave mine out in the living room and it doesn't really draw attention from guests, I would however put it away for anyone risky being invited in. Its a heavy duty unit, I used these in the cafes in Amsterdam, they can endure prolonged use, time in time out. It takes 5-10 minutes to heat up, I have never timed it, I generally hold my hand above and when its feeling hot to the touch attach the cylinder. I can leave it heating for quite a while safely, and once it reaches the temp, the light will indicate, it will then flux this temp and the control light will let you know its being maintained at the temp you set to stop it over heating.
It did not come to me with a UK power cable, but I guess you could cut the cord and wire one, or use an adapter like me.
I tend to use this vape on the daily, I do not regret the £180 price tag I paid for it second hand, its followed me to other peoples houses, shared with friends and parties.
I don't know if it can justify a £315 price tag on amazon, and what their profit is from users. Hey if I had plenty of money why not buy a premium product. But unless you have loads of money to throw around, you can get one on offer, discounted, or second hand I would advise to invest in a cheaper reputable brand model. It will be capable of more or less the same for a fraction of the price. You are paying more for the brand name of this product, thats a given so how you spend your money is up to you. It provides a great high providing vape, how much its worth paying for is up to the person buying it.
I give this product:
:check::check::check::check: ,
4/5 - It does what it says on the tin. Well design premium product.
But I feel is overpriced, reducing the availability to users due to affordability.
Dropping the price and having zero leak from the bag, for me would make this a 5* review.
