Hello everyone! I was wondering if anyone knew the average light coverage a single 55W COB covers? Say 18” above canopy would they provide 12”diameter coverage? How much does the coverage change of a reflector is used?

I will reply in this manner....one Autocob per plant. I've done two plants under one Autocob and though it's fine, it just doesn't have the same get up and go as one Autocob per plant. Check out the Autocob threads in the section called "grow light companies" under CannaZone Performance Testing and Grow Battles.

Thanks for the reply. I have read one COB per plant before but I am curious of the actual coverage of 1 COB to plan out a frame

With good lights and autos you can get away with 20w/sq or maybe even less. Photos youll want 30w/sf for flower. You could probably grow some nice plants in a 3 square foot box with an autocob.

I'm running 4 citizen clu048 1212s for a total of 200w, covers about 3x3 of my 4X4. When I'm finished, there will be 9 Cobs for 450w. That should cover 4x4 fine.

You'd get more plants in there @Arthur , (just my opinion though)..
Happy growing

I usually run new starts about 30 days before cut around the edges... keeps the lights full of flowering girls, and the edge lighting is sufficient for veg... gpw was about what I expected, main issue is I need to get away from variety runs and do 1 strain @ a time... the different height to canopy plays havoc with light management... not to mention differing nute level likes.

That 3BOG/SL is a huge girl! She'll suck up all the light once the other 3 are down...about half of her isn't getting the best lighting. Coming from a photo grower tho...so watts per sq ft means something different...
