Strain: BettyBoo, again
Medium: Coco (Canna) hempy/hydroton
Nutes: Canna coco AB
Lights: Sun/CFLs when clouds (as long as plant height permits)
Goal: To excperience BB's full potential.

My last harvest was early cut but the bud still destroys me. This naturally got me excited of the full potential of the strain. This I'd like to achieve by the end of summer.

Six plants in 4dl cups now, planted May 19th. They are under CFLs for darker times. Now I watch them grow until sex, which should show around day 25. I'm thinking transplanting one in 2L bucket but I'm wondering if it would do more harm than bigger plant... Reg seeds and I hope 2 girls.

Just a tip that might help you in future grows!

If you are starting out in Solo cups and don't want to risk any transplant shock this is a must!
Cut the bottom off one Solo cup and slide it into another cup so that the bottom is not open.
Fill with media, place your seed in or seedling and continue as normal.

When you want to transplant into a bigger container just remove the outer Solo cup and plant the Solo cup with the bottom removed into the bigger container!

No transplant shock!!

Welcome, welcome Not much to update at this stage other than all seems well. I planted some basil to cover future scents.
Any other strong smelling spice recommendations? One sunny day on balcony as well :booya:

Roots are snaking on the bottom of the cups so nutes start tomorrow. 5L of water standing still in the corner. I'm thinking buying/trying Canna boost 0,25L , 25e, as otherwise my grow costs two CFLs worth of power.
Unless they're all boys ;) 5 going strong, 1 left little behind.

I start my coco hempys in 50cl mini hempys like you. I let them go in the small cups till sex. Then i take a 5liters bucket for transplant, i fill upp the bottom with perlite then i take an empty 50 cl cup and put in the middle of my bigger bucket, and fill up the big bucket with coco around my small cup, then i remove the small cup and i have a perfect hole... i then remove my mini hempy from its 50cl bucket be turning it upside down and press a little. NO PROBLEMS AT ALL WITH COCO. Then i just take my plant and slide it down my hole in the big bucket with a perfect fit.

Just my 2 cents

J

When i tried this in coco a got much smaller plants, i think it is because all the roots on the side of the coco in the small cup dont have any way to go...just the roots from the bottom that gets new coco to grow in...
