Just make sure that all of your small cup will fit in your bigger bucket, height wise. Or else you should go with the other metod.... bottom of and put the cup in the bucket.
A minute after the picture I dropped the top bigger one. Had it been human it'd have broken its neck. I then transplanted it to 1L container and hope it to be girl No stems were broken. They've picked up a scent. Next feed will be 5ml/5L A&B. For the reference, runt is as big as the one in #13.
I now have 4 girls, runt is uncertain and the fallen in biggest pot has balls. He shall be my Test Subject and I try heavy feed on him; 5ml AB in 1,5L MtDew bottle. Day 23 was sex day. Until today they have pretty much been under CFLs.
They are now 37 days from seed and sun has been good. Two tall and two shortie. I'm feeding AB 6ml/1,5L. No distinct smell and basil is dominant still. Leaves start whitening
nice and green my friend! If I may... from my experience tiering... If you need to wait until they show sex start in a 44oz cup (or no smaller than 32oz). That should give you more room to play with until they show. If you leave them in 16oz they can get root bound in a week or 10 days... so start with bigger cups next time and I promise you they will be bigger. Also, try not to use cups that are clear or see through as you don't want light of any kind to hit the roots... If you have no other alternative just use dark tape or something to blacken out the cups... Keep up the good growing!!
Thanks for the input! The thing is, I want them to be small They need to go in hiding occasionally. And previous grow I had one girl planted straight in 4L/~1 gal bucket and the size was the same than in 13 oz cup. Or the amount of bud was same, maybe slightly larger plant. A dwarf strain. 1 liter seemed the best volume but it could've been a pheno thing, too. It may not show in pics but MJ-cups are wrapped in plastic Last pic upper left corner is lavender. Or an attempt of it, so slow compared to good stuff.
