If yes,how much? Also how much lime for the 2 or 3 gal. cont.? Also, should he give nutes every watering or every other watering I've heard of peeps doin' it both ways...Sorry for the q's...just couldn't find exact respuestas to these specific ones. Oh well, there'll be more from where those came from, never fear, lmao!!!! TIA, LDD.

I grow in coco and have never used dolomite limestone.
So I can't give any advise on that.
Personally I'd start the seeds in their final home.
Feed daily.
Start off 1/2-1/4 strength nutrients and increase strength as growth allows.

As far as the coco goes..
If it's compressed brick you'll have to saturate it to expand it.
Ph your water to 5.8 before adding the coco and you should be good to go.
Squeeze out as much water as possible before potting up.
Use a fabric grocery bag to squeeze the water out.
Good luck to your friends' friends grow.:pass:

I second Ronin. I've never used lime in my coco.

Careful with styro cups, i've seen clones act different compared to solo cups. I also have never used dolomite lime(assume it breaks down slower than liquid?I I don't know). I've had success with 1/2 - 1 ml per 32oz spray bottle of cal-mag for 1st 3 weeks if unable to catch up through the root zone.

Only soil is cut with lime because of it's tendency to have pH swings. I had always been a staunch user of Fox Farm Ocean Forest until the pH swings in it became so bad due to lessening quality control. So I'm back to coco for good and like the ability to control what happens in the root zone.

You can use a liquid supplement of Cal-Mag or use Calcium Nitrate and Epsom Salts separately, depending how your leaves present themselves.
