Lighting Combining LED with HPS.

Does anyone in here have experience with growing with both LED and HPS in the same tent, at the same time.
Is it possible, would it matter?
Im not that much into this whole LED thing so im not sure if the two types of light would even work together properly.

They will compliment each other well especially if your LED specrum is rich with 660nm red.Two of the best growers on here use the 2 side by side...Mr Gangamoto has a combination of LED,HPS,Plasma and T5 if I'm not mistaken and Seymour Buds is now running a 600w HPS next to his 500w of LED.

Yup, 2x 400w MH/HPS and 240w UV HO (bloom spectrum) Lighthouse. The LED filled in any spectral gaps as well as just extra light.

The only Point is you sadly aint see much of that cool Purple Light in the Tent.. At least over here its like that when i use 400w Hps next to the Led. But i aint reconized much benetifts and no problems. But its a interessting Topic for Bigger Rooms in Colder Months.There i would defo go 1 Hps 1 Led and so on till the Room is Filled.

I am considering getting myself an LED panel to shove in the tent with my 600w HPS.
Tang, you mentioned Plasma, ive actually never seen anyone use that, and i basicly know nothing about plasma lighting, can you tell me anything about those?
Upsides, downsides, anything really.

Thoose Gravitas are Badass but yeh they are Energy eaters in my opinion.
