Grow Mediums Confusing pot sizes...

2 gallon? 3 gallon? 4 liter? Where does it end? All so confusing to me.

Is everyone talking about how much exact volume of soil that the pot holds?

Any help? Just thought some might could clarify. Thanks!

Yes that is dirt capacity. I find 3 and 5 gallon best. 3 gallon for small to medium, 5 for anything else.

Thanks for clearing that up. 3 gallons worth of soil just seemed like a lot for some of these plants. I think I’ll try to find some 3 gallon locally. I know a lot of the pots I’ve seen don’t even tell you the capacity.

Yeah, I was thinking either 2 or 3. I thought maybe 2 might be a little easier just because it’s smaller but 3 would prob get a better yield. Thanks.

3 gallon is a good size. 5 gallon is my favorite, but am using 3 gallon at the moment.

I run all three now a days some 2 once in a. While. Plants can get plenty big in a 3 gal. Probably not a full 3 gal of medium either. Check out the rain science bags super nice.

i use 1,3 and 6L pots,but if i didnt grow in a cupboard id probably use 12L.
6L is about as small as youd want to go,3L are silly and 1L are just plain stupid
