Hey folk,

I've got to confess I am a sucker for gadgets. Sometimes cheap, other times expensive - anything and everything helps. Decided to post here because on one side, many commercial products are easily reproduceable by handy DIY'ers. Other, because they can take your grow ops to the next level. Others are just fun.

I'll start with one I found today. Ridiculously simple that could very well save hours in your garden. An index and thumb rubber "condom", but one has a blade to make it easy to chop off branches. Absolutely love the idea and thinking of buying it and try it out next harvest.

The other I have already, is the Netatmo Weather Station. I got this on ebay second hand. Comes with an indoor and outdoor module, I only use the indoor. Give me continuous temp/humidity/CO2/noise and pressure levels. All feeding wirelessly to your home router and into their app, so you can monitor from anywhere in the world. Really handy, and generates graphs. Seriously, very very handy to get a global picture of your crop cycle

I've got more, but hoping to get the ball rolling. What are your favourite gadgets?

I'm a gadget guy too. My lift decarboxylator is priceless! I am in a non legal state and decarbing is not an easy task to do discreetly. With the lift put your bud in, put lid on, and hit the button. That's it, 2hrs later perfectly decarbed with no smell! Best purchase of my cannabis gadgets for sure. Stay lifted.

I love my lift too. If you want to do rosin in it I found what worked great for me was shrimp feeding dish. You can get em off Amazon they are glass fit perfectly in bottom of the ardent.

My current favorite thing is my volcano hybrid. Its pricey but effective.

Next item I really want is 20 ton rosin press.

For the bulk of environmental control Amazon product ASIN B01LL4SNIE
Saves me time and labor with flood and drain to a reservoir outside the tent

Borrowed a friend's to try on my lights that are 44x44 in a 48x48 since I couldn't reach every side

I had never heard of such a thing. Decarbing before smoking or vaping?? It actually works and makes weed stronger? I thought the vaping and smoking did all the decarbing instantly as it peaks temperature

Decarbing is for edibles, I wouldnt decarb bud I would smoke. You can, I have, doesn't make it stronger to smoke. That does occur when you vape/burn bud. If anything you will over decarb. I dont smoke flower any more just concentrates, if you decarb then smoke makes it more harsh and taste is bad. You can and you will still get high, but I would never recommend it for smoking. Not hatin' just sayin'...

Ok, alright, then now that makes sense. However, I still dont get the need for this device if its for edibles. Like, you carry it around to decarb flowers on the go, and then chow into them? Why not just prepare your edibles at home and carry them along all nice and ready?

Well, with the lift you could decarb anywhere you like as long as you have an outlet. I suggest you do it at home tho lol. But, yes decarb and you can just eat the flower if you like I have, but it messes with some people's stomachs. Then you take you flower and process it into what you like. You could just break it up into whatever your making. Mostly oil or alcohol for tinctures, I press rosin then decarb the rosin in the lift and make gummies. Stay lifted.

I built a thermostatically controlled fresh air intake with a filter and 2 of these 110v thermostic relays in series to control a inline fan. They have a remote temp probe for each unit one goes in the tent the other goes outside in an intake vent. When temps inside get too hot and the air outside is cooler the relays kick on the fan and draw in fresh air thru 6 inch ducting from an exterior vent.saves a ton on ac bill when night temps drop in the summer!

A smart plug set up to my electricity schedule/costs. I know how much I’m really using. I can shut the whole thing down remotely. I like it so much I’m going to get a smart power strip next. Control of each device remotely, timers and all. Some cool IfTTT options too When combined with my GoVee temp/humidity smart sensor.
