The best thing to do is set all the lights to the lowest heigh you want them at. From here do a double loop around the tent pole above or a Velcro strap, zip tie. Then run them in the direction of the power strip.
In all my tents I have 2 power strips going. One for lights and one for accessories. For fans I just wrap the cord around the tent poles as many times as needed to shorted the cords where there isn’t that hanging slack.
There is a bit of work involved running cords and it does take a little time but you can definitely make a tent with 20 cobs look better then some tents I have seen with only 2 lights. The benefit of adjusting the cobs individually outweighs the time of running cords. It’s a hard thing to understand since our eyes don’t see a “brightness” difference when a cob is a few inches lower but it absolutely makes a much bigger difference than most know. Light height is key. Hope this helps.
