No kidding. your time alone is worth way more than $5 a grid. Let me know how you like them. I used them a bit on the last grow. And using them more full on this current grow. Takes a bit of time to figure out how to use them. And you will likely be cutting the legs down a bit. All 10 of mine are cut down to various lengths. Advise you cut off less than you think so you leave them longer at first. They see how the height is for a bit. I put mine in around day 25. That might even be a bit too early because the stretch is not done. But I left them longer so the plants could grow up in to a spot in the grid.
Ya, havent used cause not totally sure how to lol. I was waiting on a pizza and there is a little garden shop I wanted to look at for a while. I popped in and saw they had a 50% sale on everything, it was last day till April so I pulled the trigger. I know it was a hard sell at $5 each lol. Going to do next grow in about a month may try 1, if I do I will hit you up bud 4show!

Yes I did see the round ones, but I think the rectangle will work better for my weaving and is a good match for the Autopots footprint.
The best thing to do is set all the lights to the lowest heigh you want them at. From here do a double loop around the tent pole above or a Velcro strap, zip tie. Then run them in the direction of the power strip.
In all my tents I have 2 power strips going. One for lights and one for accessories. For fans I just wrap the cord around the tent poles as many times as needed to shorted the cords where there isn’t that hanging slack.
There is a bit of work involved running cords and it does take a little time but you can definitely make a tent with 20 cobs look better then some tents I have seen with only 2 lights. The benefit of adjusting the cobs individually outweighs the time of running cords. It’s a hard thing to understand since our eyes don’t see a “brightness” difference when a cob is a few inches lower but it absolutely makes a much bigger difference than most know. Light height is key. Hope this helps.

Hey @BigSm0. I know this has been beaten to death. But I think the answer has changed over time and now you're hanging them lower than before. Not sure if that was related to Megacrop or not.
But as you said height is key. So generally speaking, what is a decent average height for an autocob to be at in flower? I think I got thru my current grow in veg mode at a safe distance of 20 to 24 inches. And I left them at 20 inches transitioning to flower. But I suspect I can lower them now. And if its key and they are too high right now, I'd like to know what you'd rec for a height in flower. Thanks.
Yes, it looks like I need an additional power strip, and will move the one I have to the side of the tent, and hang the new one on the other side. This way I can have the lights on one, and accessories on the other, as you suggested. I absolutely love the adjustability of the Cobs - in fact, if I didn't have them, I would have a problem now. I am growing 2 different varieties. One is 4 ft tall, the other is about 24" tall, so being able to adjust the height is perfect. I'm kind of anal about my cords. In fact, if you do a search for "cabling porn" images, you will see what my idea of cord management would be, lol!
Also running a second power strip, inside tent, for the autocob's alone. Hangers are loosely held with zip ties to allow light to slide along ceiling support pole if I need to adjust a bit. Longer twist ties come in handy for holding up cords.. and quick to readjust them. Velcro loops would probably be even easier..

I know, first world problems, right? I am certainly glad that I studied lighting enough and asked questions of various folks, that I found the AutoCobs for my first indoor grow instead of a different product that wouldn't have been as satisfactory for my needs. If you don’t like cords you’d end up buying one of these. Then a few disapointing hours later tear it apart and add some cobs to it anyways.
Just finished this up. Dropped the wall wattage by 60 watts and doubled the amount of light.
