Lighting Cord Management

If you don’t like cords you’d end up buying one of these. Then a few disapointing hours later tear it apart and add some cobs to it anyways.

Just finished this up. Dropped the wall wattage by 60 watts and doubled the amount of light. View attachment 988044
What is "one of these?"
Is that a light you built or a light you bought and modded?

Oh no I’d never buy one of these things. It’s a afn’ers light who wanted it hacked. It sat for about a year before I had time to do it. Happy it’s done and happy it’s 100% better than it once was

While we are on breaking down crappy lights. This light (my first) died after overloading it with four of the light bulbs below. The ancillary (daisy) plug still has power, so I know it is still flowing, but something was overloaded on this thing and caused it to die.
I use it for seedlings, clones, and germ. Any idea what I might be able to do to get this running again? Is it even worth it?
I put a one bulb led 't5' above the clones for now, but it is not enough light.
What say you @bigsm0

I’m alright I guess. Beautiful looking plant in the pics, what strain is that? I have a grow in the DP section about 35 days in. You don’t have a journal going now do you? I’m probably going to be starting some Mephisto stuff in a week or two. Haven’t finalized strains yet...
Toof decay haha! Nah no journals currentley but i need to go ahead and get one going. Got cookie monster, and two gorrilla glue#4 going about 40 days in now. Def gotta check yours out!

Good to see ya back posting. Toof Decay, I have not grown the original, but have grown a variety where TD was a parent and like it very much. I always heard te original Sweet Tooth was "happy weed". good feeling weed. I now know that to be true Having smoked Blue Toof Special. It like being wrapped in a big warm cocoon with a nice body buzz. Perfect nighttime meds for me.

I’d definitely try the bulb first. These leds are so much better than the fluorescents. A lot more light and a directional light too. If the bulbs don’t work I’d scrap it. Chasing your tail finding a ballast. I have 9-8 bulb t5 setups in my garage that need the ballasts swapped. I own them and still can’t get around to doing it.

2 power strips slap full of plugs would make me not sleep well . I just bought a humidifier & the directions warned against using a power strip as do many electrical devices . A few years ago I would have laughed at this statement. Last year I had a small kitchen fire & it took 6 months to repair, with insurance people taking pics of every room in the house even closets, I had to ditch my grow . It was a grease fire & all I could think was , if I don’t put this out & the fire company & police come I’m going to jail ! My son threw water on it making it spread , luckily I managed to smother it with a blanket. My hands were so blistered I couldn’t work for a month & my wife had to wipe my ass for two weeks! She’s a keeper after that lol! In a 5x5 I got 2 lights, a 200w cob fixture & a duel spectrum 320 quantum board & 2 fans / scrubber run off a strip & that makes me nervous lol! With trained plants & an even canopy my lights stay level , they yield better then trees too for me . I’m not trying to be negative towards anything, but fire changed my perspective on safety & im a slow learner, didn’t use a seatbelt till I was 40 lol! Take precautions & be aware of potential risks is all I’m getting at :) !
