Filter and fan look pretty over killer for the size of that tent! But back on topic... that is pretty amazing you can have the light so close with no stress happening. its not like you're getting heat wattage that will harm the plants. But the daily light integral must be quite high. And maybe that's OK with clones/veg.

The fan/filter was actually for a 4x4x7 tent I haven’t setup yet. I have a fan controller so can knock it’s speed to almost nothing. On high it moves the babies around like a gentle breeze. The autos, Crop Circles, started to flower under that light and are the tallest in the pictures. They got moved out to the greenhouse today. So will not get to test how well they would do in that small space. I’m tempted because the CC is a pretty fast and short auto. The photo clones and mother’s will remain at least until we have some more hours of sunlight here. Probably another couple weeks at the very least. Hoping for that tent to the permanent home to four different strains of mothers.
The light cycle is currently 18/6 but will be cutting it down to 16/8 just to give them a few less photons during the day as they start to get bigger. Will be taking clones from the Pineapple Kush and the Super Skunk from the tops just to help reduce their height.
I’m also amazed how close you can get to some things. Is it strain, age, photo, auto, my training, the growing medium or something we haven’t thought of that allows the cob to be so close, or all of the above? Heck, if I know but it’s sure fun playing around with this light and so far in this one tent we have gone from seedlings/clones to flowering autos next to mother photos all doing well within 8-12 inches of the cob.
As I said above, this fan/filter setup is for another tent. Location was limited and had to put it inside the tent. I normally use this tent for breeding / seeds and the extra filtering can come in handy.
Thought I'd chime in as well, these girls are under 3 3500k cobs 4 plants entire life has been at 35" a day ago I lowered to 25 just watching for stress
3rd pic shows the other side of my 4x8 3 girls under 4 cobs all 3bears og they get droopy prior to lights out while the girls to the left stay perky these 3 also were at 35" since day 1 I to lowered this side to 25" when I got home from work I had some canoeing going on so raised em to 30 will keep a eye out for sure
7 3500k cobs in a 4x8 running only 420 watts from the wall hard to get more efficient then that and still pumping out the dank
Picking up another 6 foot power strip when I get a chance. I have one extra cob, 7 plants and 8 cobs going now. They look higher than they are, 24” average. I do have some closer and others farther away. They are all doing extremely well. Could also be that the mega crop is working for me unlike the rest of the nutrients I have ran in the past. I am also VERY happy to have removed that bigger diy light from the middle. I used to try and stick the shortest plants under it since it was strong and I ran out of height quickly. Now it’s much easier. One cob per plant and 3 cobs over the 2 biggest plants. I am ecstatic about these future grows with the changes.
Have these cobs lower than the others. Hovering between 16-20” and I can see a difference. They are fine but can tell they are ready to tell me to piss off soon lol.
