Mephisto Genetics Cracking Seeds

Hello All,

Just wanted to share my friends experience cracking Mephisto seeds. He used the paper towel method.

2x Ripley
2x HubbaBubbaSmelloscope
2x SODK
2x Walter White
1x AvT
1x Sour Stomper
1x Cheese Haze
1x Tyrone

So that's 13 seeds to try to get 12 good ones. All but one SODK cracked and showed a tail. One of the Ripley's did something I've never seen before. It came out leaves first and was 1.5" long. Had several that were 1/2" long.

The ones that cracked all showed tails at 48 hours and were placed into soil around 60 hours after being placed into wet paper towels.

Unfortunately, 2 died in the soil and I think it was because he didn't wet the soil enough. He lost one HubbaBubbaSmelloscope and the Tyrone. The Cheese Haze likely won't make it because the stem is doing this strange looping shape and I'm not sure she is going to break out of the soil and head up.

He currently has one of each of those back in paper towels going through the process again.

Well the Hubbabubba and the Cheese Haze made it. So only one seed didn't crack and one died in soil. Not to shabby.

The hubbabbubbasmelloscope ended up dying. So in total, 1 SODK never cracked, and two were lost in the soil, 1 HubbaBubbaSmelloscope and 1 Tyrone.

Unfortunately, 2 died in the soil and I think it was because he didn't wet the soil enough.

When I grew in soil, I would water the pot to some run off and about 6 hours later I would plant germed seed.

Another tip for getting germed seeds to break soil is using a spray bottle (or cut slits in the lid of a water bottle) and spray the top soil at least once if not twice daily. Used to have issues with seeds not coming up, since I’ve started doing this I’m now around 90%

Yup. They get water twice a day and they are water with a dropper.
