Indoor Crash and burn, resurrection, and Light comparison, first auto grow

Except for the TD, all are the same age. really disapointed in the quality some of the seeds companies sell. ph was 5.8 today and ppm was at 318. new sprouts are getting ready for the empty pots. should i drop the syn nuts and go organic? are they to strong even at half the recomendation with this kind of system? room temps are at 85 but c02 is best at that or above, at least from my days of cloning. air for stones View attachment 127206is from outside the room at 72 degrees

Welll Kirby. I would sugest that you flush this again and dump the syn nuts that you always had such great sucess with and try the organic BMO and see what happens. there is a lot of salt build up on the sides of the blocks compared to a full season of clones on a flood table (10 weeks) with lose rockwool. if you are ready to plant the new seedlings of AK in the other aero system, you don't want the same problems. I would also sugest that you buy some more seeds and dump the looser looking plants as they are taking up room that at this point is costing to much per sq ft and end up with 2g's per dwarfted plant. the new LED with IR added is on its way so get ready to replace the high heat 1000wt MH/HPS with a 400wt or 600wt that way you are adding a third again as much light without adding any more heat. and those 6' movers should be replaced with 4' movers so 3 movers, 3 lights like you did in the old days only useing high tech LED to keep the heatdown and to keep the IR search drones that we know are here to stay from picking up anything unusual.

If you need any more advice, just yell! :)

Well, Followed my own advice and the plants just love it. no salts building up on the new blocks. as the BMO owner says, the ec meter will not read the same because there are less conductive then the syns from the General hydro FD. new leaves are now normal. put 7 new AK's in and 4 new SMR. all started beautifuly and seem the love their new room. .... the TD is showing good response to the BMO and is strating to look almost normal. we are waiting for the new LED with the IR added and the 4' light tracks. with it getting cooler outside, i should be able to open up the HID daul arc to full high run (multi 600, 750, and 1000wt modes with the ectra high setting is a great HID lamp). I have no idea where to put the TD that is coming unless all my RI reg autos turn out to be males. we should be able to see here in the next week. I only need one male and we have 5 plants, all of them are exceptional compared to the other strains growing. I'll throw up some pics later. :)

Kirby bro, you going to use all those buckets? If so your going to have a forest inside your tent :bong:

Hi Green, it’s an 9x12 room, 18 buckets, 2 six bucket aero systems and a 6 bucket DWC system we built. we have a 1000wt dual arc tube MH/HPS dimmable HID light. I really love being able to adjust the bulb from 600wt to 750 to 1000 and then the extra 10% "super" switch (I would highly recommend this light to any HID friendly members and a 300wt (286wt actual) LED adjusted to my requirements and another one with IR added coming. I had 2 6' tracks to start but didn't know if I wanted 6 or 4' so i waited until I could see what was going on and how well the lights covered the area but I'm pulling one and putting 2 more 4' tracks in. I believe that from past experience i can get the same or better results with the movers over more lights. I was asked to test this LED compared to the best HID available. I read spectrums as part of my job (small part) and had a bit of experience many years ago and with health issues that have popped up recently, I was convinced to give this a try after 20+ years of not even smoking. I used to get 3+lbs off a 4x8 (actually my xwife reminded me it was more like 5x9 but with my stroke, I don't always remember exacts) flood table every 75-90 days. with my health issues, I didn't have 9 months to wait for photos to clone and ripen to make oil and to make oil, I need some weight. the friends that convinced me to do the comparison on lights showed me the studies on health benefits from doing this. that’s why only 2 lights to start. I needed to see which would be the best and hands down, this LED is just mind blowing. I had a real rocky start here with the autos, but I did when I went from mountain growing to inside cloning as well back in the late 80’s. Thanks for stopping in J

Need some advise on CA. Muddy told me when i joined that CA would be needed for autos. the BMO i switched to is really doing a great job in just the week i have added it but would like some advise on which organic CA to use with this. any help is very much appreciated!

The shorter harvest time is what convinced me to grow autos as well. The first bag seed I ever grew took almost 6 months to fully flower. Looking back that grow was so tedious and boring in comparison to autos. Your setup sounds amazing man I hope you get all the oil you need :smokebuds:

Yea, Green...you talk about long and tedious... I had been growing outside since the 60's and inside with 1000wt HID since 1970's. just small personal stuff but your right, slow and boring. the mountain stuff was long, 8 months total, but anything but boring. we had to bonzi our plants to the ground so they looked like weeds and not trees. 100's and hundreds of feet of drip line burried, constant worry and work. thats when i read high times article on the Dutch doing clones. safe indoor stealth growing with high yelds and fast turn a round, once you got there. once the cloning started it so much fun to see huge differences every day. this Auto stuff is just like that. now that i seem to have a handle on this, its so rewarding to watch them grow right in front of your eyes every day! I had forgotten how much these things brings a kind of "comfort" even without smoking it.

still looking for advice on CA??????????
