Okay so I just got myself a cheap pH meter

My water is at 5 pH probably explains all the problems im going through..

How can I rise the pH ?

Thank you stocious, so I get my water ready, nutes and all, then get a metering, adjust and water?

Soil seems to be exact on 6.5

So say your water is off by 0.5 (6.0) Could it be the reason for nute lock out?

no bother.. what you need to do is fill a large container with water. let it stand for 24hrs or so.. add nutes... mix well ... let stand for 10 mins or so ... then test with your ph meter.. then adjust your ph to whatever you need it to be.. if and when you do use something to raise or lower the ph of your mix... wait a little while again before you check again.. cant go wrong then. hope this helps ..:smokebuds:

oh and btw all i use to adjust ph is a bottle of ghe ph up and lemon juice for down.. tiny amounts of ph up does lots.. lots of lemon juice does a little.. be carefull

plants look fine! don't -+overcomplicate. or worry to much i don't see any lockout! they look good:buds:i will catch hell for this, but i am not so sure a ph meter is the best solution for small grow problems. if you have 30 plants going, yes a ph meter is good but if your growing a couple of plants, and see a problem, it can be diagnosed and fixed without a ph meter. there is enough info on this forum alone to make a diagnosis without a ph meter. i have had many outdoor grows, some with problems that have been corrected without the use of ph pens. and into my third grow indoors without the use of ph meters. i am going to cath hell for this statement!

I thought I was the only one. I used lemon to clean everything. i like how it smells. I woudnt mind 3-6 ml being sprayed on my head. The baking soda needs to be made into a weak (1/2 tsp a quart) solution.
i can deal with that

Is anybody else out there using lemon juice (RealLemon) and baking soda for pH up and down? (Its cheaper)

I thought I was the only one.

I actually like the smell of lemons. Thats like 3-6 ml of juice in a gallon. I wouldnt mind it on my head. Baking soda is more problematic and I wouldnt live in it too long. But its a weak solution: 1/2 teaspoon in a pint of H2O.

Anybody else out there go the cheap way with household product? Is it OK?
