Cream Caramel - Day 75 - On the Home Stretch...

I took about half a shopping bag of trim out of her today. I mainly wanted to improve my air circulation. I took everything that hadn't started to harden....every branch left now has at least a hardened top to it. I left a few that others would trim, and i know they won't amount to much, but I'lll just use those for hash.

Our fabulous growing weather continues! It's been a little warmer at night and not quite as hot during the days, usually ranging between 60-80F now. The weather-boobs tell us 'no rain in sight' (except for an occasional thunderstorm). I hope they are right for once...lol!!

Looks like I am in it for the long haul with this girl. She's still fattening up and I am in no hurry (fortunately). My most recent guesstimate is another 2.5 - 3 weeks. What do you all think?

cheers! :peace:

Flash pics from a few different angles...

Most everything is going good except my wife is allergic to it and it is really starting to get stinky. She's given me two weeks to "get rid" of it....lol. I'd move her back indoor but I don't have the room. So...two weeks it is. :peace:

Water water water ...

Pure clean H2O

She's huge bro that's for sure ....grats on a harvest soon to come !!!!

bad news...

We had a cool - wet weather front move in last Thursday and my baby quickly developed bud rot. Boy, was I pissed when I got home from work Friday afternoon to find this....CC rot & harvest 014.jpgCC rot & harvest 019.jpg

The pics aren't very good but you get the idea. The rot wasn't very widespread but it was in more than one spot. I decided to immediately take her down. There pretty much wasn't any other alternative, especially with one more day of crappy weather forecast.

Here's the extent of the rot that i cut out....CC rot & harvest 029.jpg It wasn't a lot really...a little over an ounce wet. I got most of it the first day (friday) and a bit more the next morning. I've had a little experience with rot before and i know you have to be aggressive to keep it from spreading. So...when I cut it out i didn't try to save a bunch around it and i washed my trimmers with alcohol between each cut. I also broke each bud down to smaller nuggets, trimmed as much leaf off as quick as i could, and got them all into paper grocery sacks filled with torn up paper towels. CC rot & harvest 048.jpg
So far so good...I think I am beyond the critical time.

The bud needed at least a couple more weeks to fully mature so it is a bit loose but will end up being some pretty killer smoke.

I didn't mess around with trying to salvage the more immature stuff either. I just stripped it off and got it drying in the paper bags as well (pic above). My plan is to make bubble hash out of that.

The more mature bud totaled 373g wet and the less mature around 200g.

Here's a pic of some of the better buds as i was breaking them down...
CC rot & harvest 046.jpgCC rot & harvest 039.jpg She was pretty sticky!! I ended up with a little under a gram of finger hash. I've already tried that...it's awesome...lol

While I'm really disappointed about not being able to see this girl fully mature I figure i will come out of it with a couple ozs of some pretty decent bud and a bunch of hash when it's all said and done. I'll post a few pics of the results when everything is done.

:peace:

What a fucken drag, Bud!

My condolences. :smokebuds:

But you took it like a trooper.
Made the best of it.
Life can't ask more than that from you.

I am curious:
Would this have still happened had you been growing in a plastic or glass greenhouse?

Do tell!
