After cruising through my first grow,i started to believe I was alan tichmarsh ,untill one of my ladies got bud rot. As it wasn't discovered untill to late it infected the other lady as well, got some great advice from AFN and after a little surgury i manage to save 1 plant, white widow auto, but now top cola seems to be way ahead of the rest, wondering if I should crop it and let the lower buds go a little longer. My first grow so don't want to lose the lot, not after the tragedy I had with the other 1 any advice would be appreciated. Some pics here hope there good enough to be useful

It's really a matter of personal choice. Picking the top cola now won't have an adverse effect on the plant. Personally I like to pick the whole plant at the same time. That gives me a little variety within the same harvest. Smoke the upper buds for a little more body stone, the lower buds for a bit more of a head high.

I hope you don't mind, but I have heard the word Chop before, is that what you mean, as in to harvest?

If so, you CAN do that if it is blocking all the light. But personally with auto's I would just let it go until it all looked good. maybe there is a bit more amber on top, and less below, but I dont mind. I don't mind waiting untill the whole plant is ready I guess is what I am saying.

And as always, My opinion only

Eek

I guess muddy posted while I was writing my stuff.

Gosh darn it, stealing my thunder :WTF:

Thanks for the advice, I like the idea of 2 different hits of the same plant, will leave her a little bit longer. Just concerned top cola may go to far, Or deep down I just wanna smoke her:Gary:
