I just made my 1st harvest yesturday and have it drying..At what humdity is it best to place in the jars for cure?

:peace:

Hey!
I am a Boveda 62% fan. The 62% seems to be the perfect spot for my medicine. It is nice and fresh tasting and feeling even after a year in the jar. Maybe a tad wet for rolling but 10-12 minutes in a dry room and the bud crumbles nicely.
I usually pop in a pack for a few weeks after the initial dry and after jarring and burping for a week. I let the pack stay for quite a while until I think everything is stable then I remove the pack. If you do this be sure to keep the packs in a sealed jar when not in use or they dry out.
Hope that helps.

Thanks willie..I hear alot about that..I'm going to check to see it my shop has that on hand..I might have to go for a drive today..:peace:

I 2nd the bovida packs. After i think im close to the right humidity i use a bovida pack per jar and still monitor close for the first few days. The bovida pack will swell if you bud is too wet and the pack will dry and you can feel crystals in the pack if its drying out. Then i move the packs jar to jar depending on what the packs are telling me. I can say a month+ cure makes a world of difference. Most smoke shops and cigar stores have the bovida packs.

We used to use raisins or dried apple, pineapple, and apricot slices to soak up humidity when we cured our outdoor grows back in the '70's.
Gave some flavor to the weed. Got to watch for bugs which a sealed jar will help with. The fruit will swell a little while it soaks up moisture.

Boveda 62 packs are the way to go. Get your bud down to 65%RH or so and jar it up. I would do the jar burping( this may be several times a day) to get it down to 62% and then add the Boveda 62 pack, 1 per jar. I would then burp the jars once per day for a week and then let the Boveda pack take it from there.
