Hi all, getting near to harvesting my lass and now starting to think about curing. Heard a lot of things about boveda packs 62% but don't know how to use them properly. Are they just placed in the jars and left to do all the work with me popping the lid a few times a day to refresh the air, any advice on this will be welcomed, can't f@#k it up now been a long time, I know it's a ladies perogative to be late, but now on week 15 on a 10 week grow. She's taking the piss, but as we all know, im gonna wait anyway She better be worth

whoa dude... 15 weeks? Holy crapolie.

Yeah, after you have dried and trimmed, just pluck a 62% pack in a quart jar. Doesn't hurt to burp her. You don't have to, but if you can keep yourself from doing, your a better man than me. You can't really f**k it up using the Boveda's.
You may want to find that long thread we have on using them.

Your local cigar shoppe will have all the goods to help dry and cure your weed. I place a humidor moisture gauge in my paper bag drying and glass curing jars. Making sure that the bud is no higher than 70% rh. before I place the buds in jars. The buds need to be 60%-65% when it goes into the glass cure jar(s). Monitor it at 60%-65% rh. Burp the jar(s) the 1st week at least every day. Gently shake the jar(s) to get some air movement and let it air out for 15 minutes. Cap the jar(s) and place in a cool DARK place. After the 2nd week you can burp less often but, you need to burp. I vape, so a weeks cure at 60% is just right. If you smoke another week or more of curing will do. I'll add a thin slice of apple if the bud gets below 50%. That only happens in the dry winter months.

Thanks that's good to know, the lady gave me a bit of trouble in the grow so to get her this far is far out, the bovedas sound like their just what im looking for . Thanks again to all,as you peeps at AFN saved this lady from certain death, if left to me, will enjoy a smoke for you all....... may the force be with you...:pimp:

Went to my local cigar shoppe today to pick up some Vector butane for my Iolittes. They had Boveda B62 packets. Purchased two and just now put them in my curing jars. Read their web site and was sold. Within minutes the moisture meter in my jars read 62. No need to burp. Like that idea.

Gotta love the science that goes into the business of curing cannabis. LEGALIZE IT !!!!!!!!!!

:slap: Max Slap!!!! Ol Hippy thanks for the Boveda turn on Man.......

Keep posting good threads and you'll be Slap Happy.

I'm a cigar smoker, so I'm familiar with Boveda packs for keeping cigars. Makes sense to use them for the curing process for nugs.

Now, my question is: would the packs help at all with keeping weed in general? Or are they only good for curing?

Sure, I have bud over 3 years old that is still moist, tasty and potent due to the Boveda packs.
