Harvest & Curing Dark period before harvest?

Getting ready to harvest two great white autos . I was wandering what you guys thoughts on turning the light off and giving them 24 to 48 hr of dark before I cut them down. Wanting to know if there is any benefit to doing this?

Some says yes, some says no. I think there's no evidence of benefits.
But... I give them 24h of dark before chop. Just because I can, that's why.
