What's up AFN, my outdoor grow is still a few months away before I get started but thought I'd start this thread now to share some of my ideas and get some input from the fam.
This grow will be a mix of guerrilla, growing at a friends rural plot with him, and maybe one or two in the back yard.
Gear on hand at the moment:
5 X DP Frisian Dew (fem photo seeds)
4 X BF Sweet Tooth Auto
3 X RQS Royal AK Automatic
I plan on starting them inside in my cab after my AK's are done, should be around beginning of May.
In most cases I'll be planting directly in the ground. My plans right now are to use a equal combination or pro mix hp, earth worm castings and native soil.
Soil ammendments will be Gaia greens kelp, glacial rock dust, powdered egg shells, powdered banana peels and dolomite lime. I have some "organic" liquid fertilizer that I will use throughout when I can get to them, Wegener's Liquid (8-6-6). I'm not really concerned that it's not all truly organic but it's close enough for me.
I'll start them in stacked solo cups with the bottoms cut out on the inner cup for easy transplant. Mixing up my soil and ammendments minus native soil this weekend to cook.
Recipe per gallon:
50% EWC
50% promix hp
5 tbs glacial rock dust
3 tbs kelp powder
1 tbs powdered eggshells
1 tbs powdered banana peels
1 tbs dolomite lime
I went for a snowy trek this past weekend to check out the guerrilla sites. I foresee that I could get to them once a week, bird watching journal and camera/fishing pole in hand lol. My buddy will keep an eye on a few in his green house and the swamp. Swamp buckets will be used there.
I'm really pumped for this season, I basically started building my cab a few months ago for the purpose of starting my plants inside. Decided to do a test run and she turned out better than I thought (actually have 2 runs going about a month apart haha).
Here's some pics of the cab that they will call home for a few weeks than off to the great outdoors. I plan on providing them with a shade mesh the first week outside so they don't get overwhelmed by the big guy in the sky. Aiming on planting outside June 1st if all goes well. I'm 43 lat in Ontario.
