I haven't had a clog in over a year with AN sensi nutes. My tap ppm is only 25 or so. I do notice precipitate after a day or two in my reservoir though. I'm testing out Jacks 321 at the moment which doesn't seem to precipitate anything.
Off a veg reservoir that has been feeding this tray for a few weeks with Sensi A and B Bloom. It looks nice and clean considering how long I've used it so far with this plant. Never had to clean this tray/valve for this grow yet.
This one is off a bloom res that has Sensi A and B Bloom and Overdrive and Carboload. Notice how dirty it looks and I assume the white stuff is salt.
Same with this one. And you can see film on top of the water.
I was told today that the film and white stuff is from the sugars in AN Carboload. That is what is clogging up my system. Going to stop using it right away.
I'm pretty sure I know what the problem was. Advanced Nutes Carboload. It has so much sugars in it it clogs things up and creates a slimy sludgy film that coats everything. I dumped my res and reloaded my AN nutes minus the Carboload. Flushed the lines and cleaned the trays and valves and turned it all back on. I'll know in a few hours if this is correct. Will post a picture and I bet it will look clean.
Might look at top watering in carbs in the future.
You don't need carbs if you're using coco. It's up to you, of course.
But watch out if you're gonna top fed, because that way you'll flushing salts down the pot. This can make more trouble than good.
