Ok...so getting ready to germ my "freebie" Critical Jack Herer and cant seem to find any previous threads on this strain.

Has anyone done this one yet that can shed some real-life results/ problems ect?

Hopefully soil grow so I can better compare my setup

Guess I could start with " my " intentions...

5 gallon pot, about 2-3 inches of hydro clay pellets ( help with airation? ) then fill up with 75/25 ratio of fox farms ocean forest and low nute potting soil.

After germ, she'll go under 4, 54watt T5's....only ph'd water (between 6.5 and 7.0) for first 3 weeks...then start introducing 1/4 strength "Roots Organic Buddha Grow" and increase weekly to full strength...unless signs of nute burn show up, then back off and flush...
After about 3 weeks she'll go under 400watt hps.
Once shes flowing good, I switch to "Roots Organic Buddha Bloom"...

Thoughts and/or corrections?

Here we GROW!

Ok...starting my Critiacal Jack Herer Auto and the White Widow x Big Bud photoperiod.
I'll do my best to journal and will appreciate any insightful criticism.

Put beans in water last night, hung 4-4foot T5's 54 H.O. (216 watt total?)
Soon as the crack shell I gonna be starting them in rockwool to give me a good root base to lower the risk of any soil nute stunting/burning. When they're healthy girls they get moved to 5 gallon pots with 75% fox farms ocean forest and 25% Pro mix ultimate organic potting soil.
Couple tips and hints Ive heard and seen and will be doing is....
For really good drainage and siphoning affect at watering and feed times, I'll be putting 3 inches of hydro clay balls, then piece of cut screen and topped off with soil mix. Second will be the "airiating" the water for 24hrs tip I read on here somewhere...

Experiment on adding pics for later...

Calling this... Day 1

WWxBB had nice 1/4 tap root showing, but CJH was only beginning to crack shell enough to see white.

Took them out of wet paper towel, and placed gently into rockwool cubes that I had soaked in ph'ed water of about 5.5...then gently closed hole on top of cube.
Placed cubes in plastic container with clear lid, and under the T5's that are on a 16 on/ 8 off cycle...

Well...8 days since germed
First off, thinkin rockwool was wasted insurance..no need. I ended up going straight to soil with Jack because it wasnt looking like it was a viable seed. But after an emergency C-section and some private incubator time under a dome, it appears to be coming around (?)....its the one that has 3 first petels and 3 secondary's...lol
The other is my WW BB...if you look at her first petels, you'll see she has had a hard start after (a lizard?) took a bite out of her on 2 consecutive nights...loaded mouse sticky paper around her last night, but notta.

So thats it for now, recap is nevah mind da rockwool....and gaurd for pests if need be lol

Hey what's up bro? Well first off, I'm glad to see that you went with the WWxBB!! As I said before, she's a very easy plant to grow and has a wonderful payoff in the end!! That critical jack also is a great plant to grow (So I've heard, never grown it) and from all the grows I've seen, she gives back j everything you give her!! I can't wait to see how everything turns out for you! That little three headed monster should be lots of fun!!

Sending some super :karma Cloud: your way bro!!

Howzit BiggDogg!, and everyone out deah...

So, tomorrow makes 2 weeks in dirt. WWxBB is showing some good growth. Just got done transfering her from the 3 gallon pot I had to start with. Debated about cutting away the rockwool, but felt better to leave 'em.

The Jack is looking wierd enough for me to start a Northern Light Blue as insurance....every new limb growth comes in three's...laughin righr now...hopin its good luck lol. The Northern cracked shell this mornin', so she'2013-11-21_19-54-16_394.jpg2013-11-21_19-56-35_47.jpg2013-11-21_19-54-16_394.jpg2013-11-21_19-56-35_47.jpgll be in dirt next photo shoot.

Question....I use tap water (ppm of 300), ph to 6.5-7.0 then added enough roots organic buddha grow untill I hit 550-600ppm...then I rechecked ph, and it was off the charts below 4.0. I kept adding and adding ph up but it took a few dropper fulls (its only 5 drops per gallon when I drop ph initially to the 6.5-7.0)....
So is it ok to drop ph so low AFTER nutes are added...kinda freaked out that I had to add soo much ph up...

Also...I'm still using the ph tester with the vial and green drops wich makes me wonder if the red color (for below 4.0) is because of the color change?
