Diagnosis Confusion

I'd like to apologize, folks. I didn't even pay attention to the stickies up top. That's why I just popped in with a ?. Should I go back and do the patient form or give the pertinent info in this thread? I'll await direction. Thanks,.

Baaaaa. Just let us know the basics. Age of plant, growing medium, variety, lights, light distance, pH of soil and or watering solutions, and type of nutes used. You already did the hard parts. You found Waira, and took natural light pics... That's a good start.

:pass: HB, pardon the disruption mate,... no worries on the info, we have what we need,...

> great that you did 1/3 dilution! This takes salt build up way down on the list of issues,... Soil looks good, but BG can be a bit acidic, varies bag to bag; if you're getting 7.0 in and out, my only concern is that it actually might be a bit too alkaline in there, but those test drop kits are not the best for resolution.. Is there a lime source in there, I forget?... I recommend very highly getting a quality soil pH probe, like the Accurate 8 ( by Control Wizard)...looks like the long probe unit here: :phsoil: the skinny-ass probes you see everywhere are lousy for accuracy,... best $$ you can spend, will pay for itself many times over, trust me! Monitoring your in-pot pH and dialing your water/nute soln. inputs for pH will go miles and miles toward preventing badly off pH in-pot, which is a bitch usually to fix!
>> as mentioned, the testing kit you use for pH lacks fine resolution, but it can get you in the ball park,... problem is, if you want to test you nute soln. pH, the coloring in it usually mucks up the reading of the pH color,... A pH meter really is a key piece of gear, so please consider this as well, for same reasons as above,... **** .... So, if you find that you need to get your pH down some, canning citric acid is a great cheap adjuster! it takes very little to knock pH down, so play with it some to see how it works with your water, all hardness dependent,... ideally, soil should be mid-low 6's pH,...
>> molasses dosage is fine too! 1-2x/week, and if you use a Ca-Mg supplement, skip it that next round,... General Organics makes a great product, CaMg+, all carbonate based, no N, in a fermented sugar base- -my fav'! Pretty cheap too, and it's more conc. than molasses,... I hear you on the nutes! A tried-and-true line is Sea Grow by Grow More brand,.. a 16-16-16 gen. purpose, and 4-26-26 bloom, very inexpensive, a ton per tub! ... but like your 10-15-10, the gen. purpose is not the best NPK ratio, heavy on the P-K,.. the concern is about how much the plant is absorbing and storing, and when you shift to bloom nutes, you're going even more heavy on the P-K, which can lead to potential toxicity issues, just plain too much or on the edge of, makes it easy to over-do it,... there are lots of inexpensive high N, lower PK nutes out there,.. from what I see, the better ones for cannabis don't have any urea-N in them (not entirely sure why), it's all Nitrate/ammonuim based (these are readily available immediately, unlike urea),...so if you chose something, keep this in mind,...
Super soil sounds great, and we have several here who have made fine mixes that work well with picky, sensitive autos, so look'm up! Also, Mephisto Genetics has a great additive blend product here in the states only (from associate GBD) that you blend into reg. soil, and use on the bottom half of the pot-- no nutes needed- :woohoo1:

>> ( I see what you did there!) --another toy to buy someday, very handy but not always needed, and cheap as well (about $20), is a basic TDS meter (total dissolves solids)... TDS and EC are directly related, in fact, TDS is an extrapolation of EC (electroconductivity),.. this is generally used to check how hard your water is, but in hydro, many folks adjust their nute soln. strength by the ppm's, which is what TDS units are measured in,...

... so, the Mg defc.,... if you don't have a dedicated Ca-Mg product, I'd still advise getting one... seems the molasses isn't keeping up with needs,...but keep adding it in meantime,..:greencheck: epsom salts as a foliar spray is the best choice for fast fix right now; 1tsp/qt, spray tops and bottoms of leaves, and if you have a mild soap, use a few drops to act as a wetting agent.. this will coat and stick more evenly, instead of just beading up,.. there are inexpensive products for this too, food safe quality,.. Coco-Wet is may favorite,... Make sure she's not in direct light until dry, and to get a second helping in there, re spray her with RO/Di water to redissolve what's on the leaves and get more in there,...

We have pots of hunting/fishing folks here too,.. look up Sniper, and A-Train, off the top of my head,... great guys, fantastic growers, funnier than shit too! :smoking:

There has been some confusion on this. Apparently they either have two formulations, or they may have recently changed the formulation. Someone in LS was showing a pic of the new packaging, and it may now have some N. I hope it's not true. I use that also.

Lucy is 4.5 weeks from her original dirt nap. The soil is Black Gold potting soil with fertilizer .0-.0.-.5 with worm poo, perlite. Feeding is Shultz 10-15-10 @ 1/3 strength from Brita filtered water every third day. Since the assumed, (that word again), mag deficiency, I've done molasses every other watering. Also did a foliar and watering of epsom salts. Soil Ph, (checked from my aquarium kit), is 7.0 in and out. Lighting is 350 t5 and 6+ hours of sun on my deck.

I'm not sure what info you need to help me, but if you need more, I'll get it. And thanks. Much appreciated.

Thanks so much. It is greatly appreciated. If I ended up using all these lights I bought, (just bought a 1000w led), on growing tomatoes in winter, the wife would be pissed.

:yoinks::yoinks: They better not have! :cuss: I'm down to my last bottle!

...Oh yeah, thanks Green Genes! I recall now,... I'll have to go see myself in stores,.. last I checked, their (General Hydroponics) hydro line has CaliMagic, 1-0-0, and the General Organics line was CaMg+,... but I hear they were bought out by Monsanto (hisssss), so the formula may not be the same,.. either product will do fine though,...

:coffee: :greenthumb: HB, you are on it! Let's see what a couple days brings,.. might still progress some meantime,...

I sure do appreciate the input and guidance. If I can get her turned around, I'll thank you guys every time she and I meet.
