I planted my seed about 36 hours ago. I know it shouldn't have sprouted yet... But I think I may have planted it too deep. I stuck my finger down in the soil to the first knuckle after the finger nail and put it in then pushed soil over. Did not pack it just pushed it over. Y'all think I should be okay? Or is there any precautions I should do before something happens to it? It's germinated.

If I ready/understand it right, you just placed the seed into the soil. No soaking or paper towel technique used? If so, I would wait another day or 2 or 3 "My 2 cents"

So from what I gather you put your finger in the soil up to the first knuckle (approx. 1 In), placed the germinated seed in the hole and covered it up.

OK so here's my opinion...

I usually plant the seed 1/4" to 1/2" under the top of the soil and just lightly sprinkle soil over the seed. To answer your question, yes you may have planted it a tad bit deep but no worries. Just take a tooth pick and very very easily move the top of the soil back to find the seed. Once you find it, do NOT disturb it!! Lightly sprinkle a little bit of soil back over the seed and give it a little water. "My 2 cents"

Also, another helpful tip is to cut a water bottle in half and use the cap end as a little humidity dome! I've used this method for a while and had great results!! :Sharing One:

Good luck bro!!

I just started my grow a couple of days and it took ~4 days(soaking/papertowel) before mine showed there heads. However I placed the seeds rly not deep at all ~ 0.3mm. But you placed them in soil and I in rockwool, don't know
I know the feeling when you don't see any signs of life and just waiting and don't know if you did it write. :). 00biggdogg00 is right nice methode

Also, if you use the water bottle make sure you take the cap off.

Ya that's a tad deep 00bd00 has the best suggestion. I usually use a pencil and poke the hole as deep as the eraser. If the plant gets a leggy you can always push a bit of medium up against the stem.
Peace and happy growing
Here's a bit of :karma Cloud: to insure that she'll sprout
