Mephisto Genetics Did my NCH buds mold up on me or are the trichomes tricking me.

It's been dying for about 4 days. In a box fan blowing. Humidity was all over the place.

hey buddy not something ive encountered yet so cant comment but you can download a free macro camera app for your phone these days that will let you take much better photos : ) happy growig dude

I wouldn't worry about it. They look fine. Trust me, you'll have no doubt when it's mold. The fan leaves will have fuzzy white growth that will also be on the buds. It will look embossed on your leaves not blended in like trichs do. There's frosty, then there's moldy. Without better pics it appears to just be a frost fest. You'll know when you see it as it's unmistakeable.

TIP: If you're confident you have mold you can get a bottle of essentia pH 9.5 or any pH water above pH 8 and spray it on the mold. Saturate the plant from head to toe.

You can only do this at harvest because it only destroys the mold on the surface, but the spores will still be present so you have to harvest as soon as your lights dry the plant off to save your crop. After it dries you can do a bud wash with peroxide, water and lemon juice. Google that, there are a few videos on the tube but Doc Bud deserves the credit.

Trust me when I say that you'll be fine. My last harvest got mold because I watered right before lights out and then it rained. It never rains in Southern California. Oh that's a song too! :) how does pH water destroy the mold? I'm not a scientist but a really cool farmer showed me how on YouTube. It worked, and my Sunset Sherb and Longs Peak Blue smoke just fine with no ill effects. They taste better too due to the bud wash. I've caped both washed and unwashed bud and hands down washing is a major key.

I'm typing this out to you right? That means I didnt die or get sick from smoking formerly/slightly molded buds. You breath in and eat more toxic things than a little mold. I'm sure I'll get flamed for that but I'm the son of a Nurse and Dr so I know a thing or two about what mold will and won't do. Breathing in mold is a no-no. Some forms of mold are in vaccines and treatments and most certainly in our foods. Hell I just blended some blackberries in my smoothie today that had a little fuzzies on top. Just trying to assure you that you aren't F***ed.

FYI: I caught the fuzzies before it covered my plants, it was only spotty in some places and it did eventually make it onto a plant that resisted it for weeks before finally showing signs of having it too. Longs peak blue by Rare Dankness is one bad mamajama of a plant for resistance to everything.

Thank you for the information .

I lost a whole jar of Blue Mystic to mold recently (my own stupid fault). Based on that experience I'd say you'll smell it before you see it.

It did but that stuff is gone but good for next time.
