i didn't want to poke it too much but I'm pretty sure the casing is on. its just even with the top of the plug actually. And just a sprinkle of peat on top. I'll go look tonight and maybe open it up a bit if its not showing. Thanks for pointing that out.

As long as the cotelydons are still in the casing you can leave it as is.

I can't really do much now. I initially thought it needed more dark time but then I pulled it up thinking it was ok. This is what it looks like after a night above ground. What do you think? I am hoping it sheds the casing.

I think she’ll be just fine man. I’ve had em get a few inches tall before dropping the helmet.
So long as she keeps growing, I’d leave it be.
