Welcome,

This is my second grow, but is my first autoflowering experience. My first grow was a bagseed that turned out pretty nice and is now drying but should be done today or tomorrow (can't wait to smoke it).

This time around I ordered some Dinafem Auto White Widow seeds from the attitude, which I soaked in water for about 36 hours and planted directly into soil. All 5 sprouted but 3 of the 5 have mutations. Hopefully these will be outgrown. I also got a freebie Kannabia Karamelo that I will be growing alongside them. I'll post pics later today of the sprouts and setup, for now I will list my supplies used in my setup.

-600 watt Ipower HPS bulb, reflector, and ballast combo
-Fox Farm Ocean Forest with more perlite mixed in
-Fox Farm Grow Big and Tiger Bloom
-Five 3 gallon pots
-18 qt bucket with FFOF and perlite mix for Karamelo seed

Hopefully all goes well and I'll get a nice harvest off of these beautiful plants.
Peace.

hey what methods are you using for drying and does it smell while drying? Are you going to be using jars for the cure if so look into something thats called cvault I heard its the BOMB! Keep it Green! :peace:

Can you take a photo of the mutations. Might be of interest to some growers.

Hello,

Sorry for the delay between the original post and the first pics of my girls. I've been a little busier than usual the last couple days. The ladies are doing fine. I forgot to mention that they were put in water on June 10th, which is where they stayed for 36 hours before going into soil and sprouted 4 to 5 days later. They've been on an 18/6 light cycle their whole lives. So far, they've recieved a small dose of FF Grow Big twice this week and have responded well with rapid growth. They also smell already. Like some dank skunky weed. Lol. On to the pics.

This plant is one of the WWs that didn't have mutations when it sprouted. It was also either the first or second to sprout (stoner memory lol). This one seems a little more on the indica side of things, which is preferable to me. Has a very nice smell. Like skunky sweetness. I'm actually pretty surprised at how much these all smell for their size and age.

White Widow #2

This is also one of the plants that didn't have any mutations, and was also either the first or second to sprout. It seems a little more on the sativa side. It's growth has been vigorous and it is the biggest, healthiest, and smelliest of my plants. This one shows great promise.

White Widow #3

My attempt to take a pic of WW #3's slight leaf mutation

This one did sprout with some slight mutation; its cotyledons were really weird looking. One was extra small and the other was like three times the normal size and it looked folded up in a "U" shape. What's even weirder is somehow the seed that supposed to go in pot #5 ended up in this pot and sprouted alongside this WW, only it was way smaller and more deformed. This one seems healthy but still a little slightly mutated. Oh well. Bud is bud.

White Widow #4

Pic to show odd leaf growth

This one was also mutated when it sprouted. It seems to have grown fine since then, other then the odd number of leaves per node. For some reason it seems to want to grow 4 fan leaves on each node so far. It's working on its second node now and it's doing the same thing. Never seen it before, but it seems healthy.

White Widow #5

Top shot. See the weird leaves?

Top shot to show the size of the plant compared to the size of the pot.

This is the one that sprouted in the pot with WW #3 and seems to be its more deformed twin or something. I had 5 seeds and somehow this seed ended up in the wrong pot. When it sprouted, i transplanted it to the correct pot and it's been growing healthily ever since.

Pic of my current closet setup.

The Kannabia Karamelo seed was soaked in water for around 36 hours and was put into soil two days ago. I'll take a pic once it sprouts. That's it for today, gentlemen. I'll probably update this 1-2 times a week.
Peace.

For drying my first plant I cut the buds off of the plant and hung them in a cedar wardrobe I have for I think 4 days. Curing I put it in a mason jar. I've never heard of cvault but I'll check it out. Thanks for the tip!

Can anyone tell my why my biggest and completely healthy plant keeps making its leaves do barrel rolls? I've never seen anything like it. I came home yesterday and they were just sitting there upside down. It's happening on WW #2.

I'm just finishing up a WW at about 130 days right now (24 hour lights= big plant, slow to mature). I had the leaf twisting happening on her at about the same stage you're at now. In my case it seemed to be caused by too-low humidity and was corrected by adding a nice ultrasonic humidifier to the chamber. I saw results within 48 hours. I was seeing the twisting at around 20-30 percent relative humidity and it was corrected at 50-60 percent. As the plants got bigger and began to put more moisture into the air I was able to turn down and eventually remove the humidifier. The three other plants in the chamber at the same time (Barney's Farm Critical Rapido) did not show signs of the leaf twisting problem.

Thank you for your advice and insight. It's nice to get a response from someone that has grown the same strain. :smokebuds:
Right now my RH is sitting at 62% and doesn't dip below 40%. It also seems to happen everyday at about the same time; around 2 or 3 pm, but there is no change in its environment. I have 4 other white widows that also don't display this odd characteristic. Hopefully mine will just grow out of it.

Well, they're from seeds so they're all going to be a bit different. If you were really doing anything wrong, they would all be showing it. If you don't mind I'm going to sub up and follow you through on this one. I'd like to see how the WW does in soil because I'm going to have some nice feminized seeds from the one I'm finishing up and I may put a few in pots during the hot weather when I can't run the DWC setup.

Sending you lots of good green karma and say hello to the girls for me.

Will do my friend. :smoke: And it should be an interesting journey. I'll be updating with pics later today.
