Grow Room [Dinafem] White Widow & [Auto Seeds] Berry Ryder

I was leaning towards pH, a bit of lockout, glad you're on top of it. The pH worries (my own and everyone's) prompted my move to AN's pH perfect line and I haven't looked back since. A big factor in the success of my last round.

Ahh, I've been thinking about switching back to chemical nutes but I don't know if the potential extra yield would be worth the compromise in quality (organic bud DOES smell, taste, smoke & vape a bit better IME)... I'm already capable of yielding an Oz+ with BioBizz and I don't think the space would allow for much more than maybe 2 oz max. unless maybe if I grew photoperiod strains with something like two stacked scrogs and some light strip in between them. But even so the time/yield ratio might not see a whole lot of improvement.

That's a good point and one I overlooked. Chasing yields probably doesn't suit your growspace. Recently I've been looking into Subcool's supersoil water-only grow method as perhaps a more organic way of getting things done. As well as doing it big and fast. Devil's advocate though: Better living through better chemistry is partly the reason we're all here. Actually made myself laugh right there. But seriously my move to AN was for something that works and works consistently. Backed up by Tang's schedule of course. Of course there's great biobizz grows documented here too, so no worries. I've looked a bit into the Neptune's Harvest line too, very organic, but not trouble free, just not sure I've got the "juice" yet. Gonna try some hydro next round, so it's back to the bottom of the learning curve for me.
The LST you've got going will hopefully stop the stretch as well as mine. A real eye opener for me as far as making big plants small. All growth after went straight into the buds.

White Widow - One of my most favourite and the most dank smoke ever

I had similar issues with my leaves during my last grow. I was using Biobizz nutes as well although my bottle of grow must have been 4 years old if not more :eek1: I had a clear out and have moved to the Plant Magic range which I've heard great things about. Time will tell....

Subbed, excited to see how your Widow turns out.

Is that LED lamp 35 watt only? What brand is it, and have you noticed any of that"bleaching caused by light" if keeping the lamp too close to the plant?
I'm asking this because my space is almost similar to yours :1ft x 1ft x 2 ft high.....I posted it in the General Growing , but it would have been more suitable in the "micro" category - also doing a Berry Ryder, currently at day 63- https://www.autoflower.org/threads/berry-ryder-lst.47470/

Yes, it draws about 35W but there was some wacky thing about light output which is said to exceed that or something..
It's a Lighthouse Hydro Blackstar 100W LED UFO. I did get bleaching about 4 inches away from the light during my last grow.
Checked out your thread. Very nice growing and cool cab! It's interesting to compare results. :d5:

Day 42

Well, shit :crying:

Yellowing has progressed explosively and there are nute burns and all kinds of brown spots everywhere. I've been doing exactly the same things as previously, with the exception of a 2-3 day break in waterings... Hard to see how that could have caused all of this but surely it's possible. I mean, it's pretty much the only thing that this grow and my last one have in common that could cause this since it doesn't seem to be caused by nutrients or even pH, really (I've fed these only Bio-Grow so far, with a few pinches of epsom salt as well as a VERY careful dose of calcium every now and then.) and my last grow also had very similar symptoms.

Buds are also behaving strangely. On the White Widow they're significantly bigger but with way less trichomes than there are on the Berry Ryder. WW is also in worse shape overall. Hm.

The plants will be given bloom nutes for the first time today. I'll also be adding calcium and magnesium just in case. My pH pen arrived today so if I get around to calibrating it and it functions as intended I'll finally get definitive pH readings, not that '6 at first, then 8 a minute later' bullshit that I've been getting with the drop test.

Onward we go!

Day 51

Buds are getting seriously fat and I think it's thanks to all the extra bloom nutes I've been using this time around. The pH pen has been working like a charm and I've compared it to the drop test. I found that I would previously often give them too alkaline feedings because, well, the drop test color is largely up to interpretation and it isn't instant like I had thought. The drop test apparently also has a tendency to display the finished nutrient solution as yellow which means 6.0 when in reality it's about 6.5. So, the margin of error here is about half a stop. No wonder I've been having problems.

Anyway, what I'm getting at is, I deducted that bloom nutes aren't the cause for all the burning and things going to shit so I've been force feeding these bastards. So far I've proven myself to be right and I hope these buds will eventually be my biggest yet.

Awesome grow, awesome setup man! I have a few questions if you don't mind....
Did you use that LED light exclusively?
What would you say would be the safest, closest distance between light and plant without that"bleaching" phenomenon that I keep hearing about?
