So with @BigSm0 giving me a shopping list I have now purchased everything I needed to get started. Now I am just waiting for delivery.

I was originally going to do 1212's, but for a little more per cob I could do the 1812's. I had already purchased 3 1212's when I decided this so they are extra now. No big deal I just ordered a couple extra heat sinks and I might work on a small side light or light for veg for some photos or something down the road.

On to the question. In a 4x4 how should i arrange the cobs? Should I do 2 bars of 4 or 2 bars of three and a bar of 2 in the middle? Would someone have suggestions on distance between cobs?

I have 8 1812s (4000k 80 cri) and two MeanWell HLG-185H-48A Drivers.

Thank You

I like the 3,2,3 idea the best. I would build them so the length of the longer bars were 3 feet long and the shorter one being 2 feet. Leaving a 6" perimeter space around the inside of the tent the spacing would work out to 12" on center.

If I picked up 4 more 1812s how much better would it be to just run 12 total six on each driver?

Your cobs would be very cool for the heatsinks. Efficiency would go up about 5% and you would have a better spread. Less lower larf and plenty of bud. In a 4x4 with that setup 4 plants I'd bet you could easily pull a pound and more like 1.25 once dialed in. That would be a great setup of its within reach.

How would I offset 4 do a 3 1/2 foot bar? Do 10 1/2 inch spread?

A 3 foot bar with 12" spacing. That would give you 6 inches off each wall
Now that I am reading that and not nearly as high I see what your saying. So if I put four just space them out 9 inches each?

Had to think for a second but yes that's correct.
6-9-9-9-9-6=48
6-12-12-12-6=48
1+1=?
