Indoor DN's World of Seeds Northern Lights x Big Bud Grow - Soil - LED - Area 51 XGS-190

Got any smoke reports on this one yet? How did she weight?
The first cutting just hit a week today. With my humidity it's going to be a couple more days until I jar it. I'll definitely update when it's ready

Smoke(Vape) Report

Well... I wasn't going to jar up any of the NLxBB today. But, I was thinking about trying it tonight, so I checked the cola and the other buds I had cut the first two nights and they're pretty much perfect. The humidity has been between 56 and 65 percent consistently, so it takes about eight days usually for my bud to be in the 63 percent range.

I ground up one nug from one of the two outermost stalks. The stalks that were closest to the Arcadia bulb, so they had the most UV-B exposure. Not the top, but only a few buds down. It ground up decent, but it's still a bit too moist so not the greatest. Smells nice, fresh (a little too fresh, but I know it's still needs time to cure), green, kinda creamy skunky in a way haha. If that makes any sense. I let it sit out for a bit and prep the Arizer Solo (best vaporizer on planet). Oh, forgot to mention, the buds shrank quite a bit (not surprised) but also got very dense. I love the...consistency I guess...of the buds. Just nice green nuggets.

So I vape this stuff and I love it. First of all, I've been really anxious to sample this specifically because of the Grand Finale and Bloom Final that I water in for the last two weeks. I used both at full strength for 12 days before I started cutting. Once I started I went to about 2/3 strength. My past two plants I wasn't able to go this far with the Grand Finale (didn't own Bloom Final yet) because both plants finished sooner than expected. They also ended up a bit harsh. Well, this came out incredibly smooth and I couldn't be more satisfied. Right from the start of my session you could taste nothing but the cannabis and it was smooth all the way to the end. I'm normally impressed with pot if it just starts out smooth. This you can vape until it's completely killed at a bit of a higher temp and it's smooth all the way through. I HIGHLY (haha pun kinda) recommend you give Earth Juice Sugar Peak Grand Finale and Advanced Floriculture's Bloom Final a shot. You just water both in for the last two weeks of the grow. Check the links if you're interested. I've noticed definite increased growth and just better overall maturation of the buds while using these nutes. I'll never go back to straight water for the last two weeks...never. One thing though, you do have to try and time it properly because if you don't use these enough your results will be a bit harsh.

I love the way the NLxBB tastes. It's sort of sweet and creamy, with a bit of fruitiness mixed in. I can't quite place the fruitiness and I'm not even sure if that's the best way to describe it. Oh and I'm high as shit. My tolerance has to be considerable, despite that I'm really rocked. I'm surprised actually. I've been smoking for about eleven and a half years and this is some of the best cannabis I've ever had. I can tell I won't make it late tonight. I actually felt quite "high" for the first hour or so. Now (partially because I'm exhausted) I'm going into Indica Zombie Mode. IZM.

Anyways, I'm not sure I'll get the yield I want. But, that's my own fault and every plant could always be bigger haha. Regardless, I really couldn't be happier with the quality...this weed has pretty much knocked me on my ass.

I'm beat... Goodnight.

No More Weighting on the Weight

82g's dried. Need... more... pot...lol. I know I'm running into stunting at the ass end of my grows. I'm still tweaking my feeding schedule from grow to grow and so far I've had increases in yield every time. I was still very happy with the quality. It wasn't super smooth but it was very nice. Good taste, good all-around high. No complaints really. I always feel like my cannabis could be more more potent, but that's just they way I am. I would love to be able to test every plant so I would know for sure each strains strength and the strength from plant to plant. Especially when I grow the same strain more than once. Oh well. I love dense nugs though and this definitely has them. It dried and cured nicely.

In terms of the UV-B it's so difficult to judge. Every weed varies and taking tolerance into consideration it's tough to say that the weed is definitely more potent. For now, I just have to trust the science I guess.

Very good looking harvest there Dirty, I defintely understand when you say that you want the potency to go up. I see your skills are there and the only thing limiting your abilities in my opinion is top shelf genetics. There are lots of great breeders out there that have amazing strains(and yours are not anything to turn your nose up at), but there are also stable genes that have been proven for decades. IE Dutch Passion(I am very biased because I have been growin DP for 10 years or so, I have no affliation I am just a big fan) they are in my opinion the best genetics on the planet when it comes to the most desireable traits they have the highest standards in the buisiness. Yield,Potency, Taste and Smell are all the things we want and they do it the best. I would try getting some AutoBlueberry or Blue Auto Mazar and see if you don't notice a big difference in potency. Just my 2 cents, and again great grow!
