My first Northern Light auto has always been small in height and her leaf structure looks minature. She's 38days old and approx 5"-6" tall. She's also in early flower and smells amazing

I did LST her a few weeks ago and most of that bush came from bellow. Here's a pic

I grow in coco/perlite. I received my TDS meter last week, and realised I was feeding her more nutes than I should. My tap water is 600us/cm, which is around 0.6ec, I believe. This leaves little room for nutes.

When I tested the run off a few days ago, it went in @ 1.1 and came out @ 1.9. I flushed with low nutes until the run off was nearer to what went in. Is this what caused the growth problem?

Last nights feed per 1 gallon of water was

2ml Floranova bloom
.5ml nova grow. This brought the TDS to 1086us/cm (1.1ec) Should I be feeding more?

I usually feed calmag, but left it out last night to give more room for the Floranova grow and bloom nutes

Is there a chance she might stretch? I raised the lights from 24" to 32" in the hope it might encourage upward growth. It stretched my younger plant, but not "little miss bushy"

Any suggestion would be appreciated

@Cat. Wish I had more experience to give you any advice. so instead I am trying to send good karma and well wishes.

Your lady looks nice and healthy. I had a plant that stayed short but did shoot up about 6 inches during the first 3 weeks of flowering.

I am sure that @Waira or @namvet25 along with many other's that have the experience will stop in and be able to give you some great advice soon.

You did the right thing moving the lights up and if it's showing preflower pistols she should start showing more vertical growth soon. When she stops her upward growth and is in full flower I would lower the lights closer for flowering.

Thank you. She's started to show some vertical growth :woohoo:At last, I've stressed over her, daily!

That's good to hear. She's started to grow vertically. Thanks for the feedback @namvet25

:toke: Cat-- aside from a little tip burn, your feeding wasn't that far off; good that you flushed though, but in coco, this process is different when done correctly... this all has to do with coco's unusual CEC properties... have you researched coco growing, and all the unusual specifics it has? You can't treat it like soil, or there will be problems soon enough,... never just water alone, always at least Ca-mg in there, if not using dedicated coco nutes already; there are nute' lines made just for coco, which help address the quirky requirements coco has, very helpful if you're new to coco,.. Ca-Mg is an important part of it, since coco has strong bonding CEC with Ca in particular, meaning it will hog the Ca until it's sated, keeping it from the plant,... fortunately, I don't see any symptoms yet! Is this the plant I saw in another thread that was pony tailed up big time? --this might be why it compacted so badly...

@Waira Many thanks for the feedback. Yes, this is the plant that had a ponytail, but I only did that to encourage all the undergrowth to grow out. I did do a lot of research, but evidently need to do some more, especially about coco. I made the mistake of flushing the life out the coco before sowing the seeds and then flushed the young plant with Ph adjusted water. I've avoided the same mistakes in my second seed and she's doing a lot better Perhaps starting in coco wasn't such a good idea. Here's a pic of her today at 6wks old. I LST'd to try get some light to inner leaves, as she's very pale in there, but she's definately stretching by the day. The second pic is of her sister, she's only 4wks old
