Grow Mediums Do you use autopots and not put the valve at the end of the line?

I have a 4 pot autopots watering system and I plan to only run tap water through it. It looks like the autopots people recommend that you put a valve at the end of the line. It looks like it is to flush the line every once in a while to clean the tubes out. I would think that would be for those that use salt based liquid nutrients. If you are only running tap water in the reservoir do you think you would need the valve at the end of the line. Do any of you use autopots and not put the valve at the end of the line for it on there?

The valve also acts as a stop if/when you need to change your res, have a line problem, leak, etc. They are only a quid or 2, get them imo

I've never used a tap on the end of mine i uses a line cleaner anyway and salt-based nutes but as highndry says there only a couple of pounds if you wanted to buy one

Thanks. I plan to have a valve at the reservoir and 1 on each of the plants but was wondering why I would need one at the end of the line after the lines that are to the plants on there.

What he said I guess I never read that part So, no I do not use a valve EXCEPT on to my rez line. I can1/4 turn the valve and then disconnect from main line. Be safe out there
