What are the advantages of autopot I see the automatic watering does it increase yield?

I did that on my first harvested plant I didnt want to fall asleep so I did about 15 to 20% amber.

You should harvest your plant based off trichome maturity, when the trichomes are roughly 30% amber it is ready to harvest. You can use a loupe or digital microscope to see the trichomes better.

So 30% Amber will definitely make you sleep..the starting of ultimate couch lock... anything from that point on up it's sleepy time...

But Gary it all depends on what your looking for??
You can Harvest a plant with few clears and mostly opaque and a few ambers.
You can Harvest a plant with 15% 20% 30% amber if you want or higher. You can take it all the way up until it's damn near rotting and the trikes are no good and all degrading.. If you want.

So 10% amber with a lot of opaque and some clear will give you a more uplifting type Buzz.

15% Amber to 25% amber is more euphoric but yet still uplifting Buzz and where you can still think good.
Anything above 25% to over 30% you start getting into real euphorics and almost LSD hallucination type effects... With most strains of good cannbis.
Hence the phrase couch lock and maybe paranoia effects also with some people.

So It all depends on what you're looking for Gary and the type of buzz you want.
You could havest in stages and have the best of it all.

I actually did harvest in stages on one plant although I should of let the small buds go a few more days. Those look quite good I wouldn't mind trying growing outside if my situation permitted it they look like proper trees.

I wanted a system that I could leave the home for 6-10 days and yet the ladies would survive. The AutoPt system does it for me. I do not want to hand water more than a few weeks. This is when they are easy to move around and to get at. It is a simple system.

90%+ cloudy trichromes is the more common guideline, especially with autos. A lot of auto don't amber easily, you could be waiting long past the plant's prime. That 30% rule is an old outdoor photo period guide. And even then, I guess if you like your meds to put you to sleep it's ok, but 30% is a lot of CBN. Really it's a matter of preference. I'd not recommend the 30% amber to new growers of autos, they could be waiting for a LONG time for that to happen. I say start with the 90% rule then experiment as you gain experience.

I'm going a new route with my auto pots. I'm replacing the bases with a tray. I was inspired by Tony21 ( who is MIA ). I have a 4x4 tray in one tent, couldn't get another so I got two, 47"x20" trays for the other. Plop an Aqua valve ( maybe two ) in the trays and then you can place your pots however you like. In fact you can use any pot this way. I did one grow where I ran nine, 2 gallon pots. I watered by hand every 4-5 days by flooding the tray with 5 gallons of solution. It took about two days for the plants to soak it all up, then anouther 2-3 days before they dried a bit. Worked great.
