I can't get this plant for flower. It's been vegging for 9-10 weeks probably. I did not record the exact date. Its a DP Think Different Auto.

I have been feeding it blooms nutes a while back when I thought it was in preflower and going to flower. Then I stopped those nutes since it did not flower and I'm back to grow nutes. I have been using 12/12 light schedule for about 5 days. And I just finished a 24 dark period hoping that would trigger it to flower. Also the most prominent bud site areas have leaves that are pointed almost straight up vertically. Its hard to see in the pictures, but it has some leaves that are very perky.

I'm pretty new and I can't tell if I have pistils forming now or if this is just more growth happening. What do you think? If these are not going to flower for me I need to move on. No point in wasting time and money on something that won't produce.

The auto flower gene is recessive, and the breeders (most I hope) work hard to get it to exhibit as dominant, but... sometimes that photo gene will make an appearance...flip the lights and give her a couple weeks, she'll start poppin.

ok guys. I hear you. I've been playing around with photo light schedules for a couple of weeks now. But not consistently. It has been a good 4 days where I've been bang on 12/12 consistently. So I'll give it a few more days on 12/12 with a couple of 24 hrs dark as well.

This DP Think Different has been vegging for so long I'm getting pissed off with it. I have two Dinafem Criticals that are on day 33 or so and they are just starting to flower. I'm sure they are going to finish before the Think Different and they started like a good 5 weeks after. This is crazy.

Yeah, if it's going photo, your bound to photo rules... make sure to think about YOUR schedule, and set up the 12/12 around that.. nothing worse than needing to do some work, and can't unzip the tent. Also a red light used for darkrooms is ok, if you need too.

Skip the 24 hour dark and stay on 12/12 and it should start preflowers in a week or so but do not let ANY light in the tent during lights off.

ok,will do. Just finished 1 day off, 1 day on. Will switch back to 12/12 and give it a few days. I have a small 2x2 tent I can move it too for dark, then back in the main autos tent for light.

...:smoking: dude, did we talk about this plant already?... it rings a bell.... gotta do bloom nutes and 12/12 both,... has she shown sex yet? She must have by now, but confirm for us anyway,..... looking at the tops, you might be close,.. I think the center core is looking pretty compact, a potential good sign,... so yeah, give her a few more days- :goodluck:

Man that made me chuckle. We probably did talk about this already, because it's being going on for so long. I tried the nutes and light change and no go. But maybe it was still too early. Going all in for a few more days of 12/12. I'll post a pic in a couple of days and would like to know if you see any further progress in the tops. And yes she's all female. I don't see any sacks at all.

I had one not auto once, and the 12/12 treatment seemed to work. I always wondered though if it would have flowered on its own anyway. Will an autoflower switch at a younger state? like 2 weeks old for example? I don't want to try it, just want to know. I have asked several plant science professors about flowering mechanisms in day neutral plants, and the answer is always the same. Its either genetic or we just don't know.
