I got this light off Ebay http://www.ebay.com/itm/DOMINATOR-9...5227236?pt=US_Hydroponics&hash=item2348341164 and I was wondering has anyone ever used one of these or seen them before? I have several other Mars Hydro Mars II lights that I use, but I got this one on the cheap, and was just going to use it to add some extra light during flowering. I was just sitting there looking at them on Ebay and the bids were low for the size of the light, so I sniped it. They have them listed under several different names like King & Diamond, but they all look like the same light. I figure for the money it might help some.

for the price I'd say you did great. I've worked in manufacturing for over 30 year's and these Chinese light's are made out of the same component's so its a lot like a mar's-hydro/topled

I've had my finger poised to click bid on one all day! LOL! I may chicken out though and settle for a 600 watt

AHH HAH! It was you who beat me on that one!! :Sharing One: :kusht:

Oh sorry Pop22 I didnt mean to snipe it from you! :xlaugh: Really I didnt!

If you look at that seller they always have a ton of them listed, and then go thru their completed auctions, and just about every 900W they put up goes for around the same price or just a tad more. You should be able to get one.

Elsamurai, I thought the same thing when I saw the auctions, they look so much like a Mars Hydro aka TopLED light. I always look at the feedback someone has too. For the money, if I get a few years use out of it, I'll be satisfied.

I'd really love to be able to afford those more expensive lights but when you start getting into the thousand dollar area, I start walkin the other way. They are just not in my price range. I know people have been arguing about it all for a long time, but I'm still not seeing any huge differences for people like me that do the smaller grows for personal use.

Well I got this light today, and first off the bat I opened it to have a look around. First thing I notice is that there is literally no heat sink. The auction claims that it has some new fangled heat sink, which is basically a piece of aluminum over the LED's with 2 loud fans blowing over it. So I power it up and the thing is super bright, but mostly red. It looks like these flowering lights that some of the manufacturers offer. Id say its about 40% red, 40% orange, and the last 20% is divided up between blue and white, with no IR spectrum at all like the auction states. So I put it on the Kill-A-Watt meter to see what its pulling out of the wall, and its pulling around 290 watts, auction states 589 watts, and its at 1.8 amps, auction doesnt say.

I am disappointed, but I'm going to keep it to try and see if its a good flowering light. Lesson learned :face:

290 is a far cry from 589 but for 200 bucks still not bad if it works. i've been sticking with smaller leds so i can adjust height and spread of light better than one big unit. but i grow multi strain runs so need variety

bummer. sorry it's not what was advertised. most led's are rated at much higher wattage than actual draw. advertising bs mostly. but running them at full capacity would shorten the life of the diode. but almost 300 draw aint bad for $200. should help in flowering

I was had as well by the "king" brand one same deal plugged it in ,it is actually a 400w very red light. I'm dealing with the eBay messages to see what they will do left a bad review all that. I already have 2 mars panels I should have just got a 3rd but the price. I thought I snipes a good one lol we got the bone brother
