Mephisto Genetics Double grape

I have 2 DG's going right now on day 38. One is at 22" and the other is 25.5" and both are very buddie and developing a lot of frost. Very nice plants as far as I'm concerned! I lost about 3-5 days of growth during what should have been a rapid growth period due to a failed experiment of mine. Looks to me to be a winner!

Honestly I wouldn't expect much. The plant has really missed its chance to grow to any sort of size at all. Nearly half of the biological time bomb she's got built in has ticked away at this point. You will save yourself immense future disappointment if you scrap her and start over. Out of the 18 Double Grape seeds I initially popped, one of them grew considerably slower than the rest. Now, whether it was just a 'runt' or some external factor had a part in her being stunted for so long, I don't know. I do know that it's taken nearly 30 days for her to even come close to the size of the next smallest plant. I actually started another seed about two weeks into her life because I was worried that it was never going to take off.

Just my thoughts.. consider them with the knowledge that this is my second grow, ever. Most of my knowledge has been gleaned from picking through countless reams of bad information. Your mileage may vary.
Yea thats all true with the biological clock etc. I don't think she'll amount to anything either honestly. I just hate the thought of wasting time and resources. I've done alot of digging and reading around as well, and aside from a couple people saying they can be runts, I've never seen anything like this one in particular. This has never happened before so we aren't sure what to do.. I'll just give her til the end of this week. She might just come out anyway when the other girls go in. I've had 1-2 runts before in the soil grows I've done, but this one takes the cake. This is also my 5th hydro grow as well, with the ones before this being pretty impressive and better than any soil I've done. That's just the way the cookie crumbles I guess.

Your point of view and input is appreciated. I'll probably make the ultimate decision on whether or not she's scrapped by the end of this week.

Here are my Double Grape girls at Day 32. I've got them under a total of 1000w of Quantum Boards (8 QB304). This is my second grow, and first run with autoflowers. I know what I'm going to be growing for the foreseeable future!

I did a Northern Lights about a year ago, after 25 or so days she was just starting to push her 3rd set of leaves. I murdered her. IMO, do the same, not worth the resources. That's part of the fun with growing from seed, sometimes we get the greatest phenos and rarely we get a mutant or an anomaly like yours. Whatever you do, keep going on a new double grape. She's hands down the frostiest girl I've grown.

I'll snap you a current picture of my runt tomorrow. It took almost a month, but she's gotten to a size where I'm not going to pull her up. It could be that it's just going to be a much slower growth cycle for this girl than the others, or it could just be a runt. It happens. The only thing I'd consider in your situation would be whether or not I can afford to scrap the plant or not. Can you deal with tacking a month on to your grow or not, is what I mean.

EDIT: I checked on the height of the runt. 17 inches. The tallest is just over 36 inches tall. Today is day 33 from germination.
