Mephisto Genetics Double Grapes, 3quart pots of Coco, Air injection...in progress.

Been following your threads for a while now and your discussions about pot size and air injection and it all got me thinking A LOT. I'm definitely gonna use Airdomes the next time with 15L Autopots but I'm thinking of scaling down pot size for autos in general, much thanks to you.

Mind you, the DG's that I have are the healthiest, frostiest and possibly most dense plants I've seen and there is going to be a very decent yield on them, even for their smaller size (around 50cm) but I'm used to getting much bigger girls in the 15L Autopots. They just take longer, as you're saying (while the smaller DG's will take 75 days TOPS). So, I'm trying to keep the size but quicken the process and smaller pots+airdomes seems the way to go :2cents:.
How long do your 15L AutoPot DG take? Without Airdomes, the plants will definitely take longer.

Not finished yet but by the looks of it, they ain't gonna need more than 75 days, some of them even less than that :2cents:. They stayed smaller and started flowering earlier than the rest of the grow.

The Airdomes will Crank
up the growth rate with a couple days, even in your big pots. Best part of Autopots are the Airdomes and they are optional.

Yeah, have seen you say that somewhere else, gonna run them next grow for sure it seems . Another question, do you germinate in the final pots since they're small?

@Ryker604 that's in coco or soil? 15L of soil will finish faster than 15L of coco.

Coco/perlite - 70/30. Been thinking about that option too, doing soil instead of coco, kinda think that it would help with CalMg problems too . Sorry for hijacking the thread a bit @slowandeasy .

If I use 1 gal or smaller I either do small cups and transplant or Directly into final pot. If I do bigger pots I ALWAYS start in cups and transplant. I have been growing in Coco for a very long time. If you are not in tune with how much moisture a seedling needs in a big pot, overwatering is easy to do. Also, as I have stated many times, root growth is linked to flowering with Autos. So you want your roots to explode out of the gate. Not drown.

What nutes and lights you have? Cal- mag problem is an easy fix and not a reason to ditch Coco.

600W MH/HPS and BioTabs line up. This grow I added dolomite lime which helped but when bigger plants hit mid flower all those bud sites suck everything up.

Ok, well if you want to stick with Biotabs line up. I highly suggest NOT USING COCO! That is the problem, period. I tried the whole line up. Coco isn't the right combo for Biotabs. You have a few choices. Keep using Biotabs and get a High Quality Soil and Add Airdomes. Keep using Biotabs and Coco and have less than stellar results no matter if you have Airdomes or not. Or keep using Coco and use nutes with Airdomes. If you need help, pm me.
