Grow Mediums Dr. Krippling Incredible Bulk hydro

Hey KK,

Nice looking that you have going. But can I ask what your feed schedule is and what are you running for PPM's and PH? I assume you are running RO/bottled water or are you using straight tap water? Reason I ask is while your plant does look nice and healthy she is just very small for a month old DWC plant and trying to see if there is an under laying cause of this. Can we get a picture without the Mars on and just the camera flash?
Well, I feed her once a week, when I change her water, which is tap, ph down to 5.8. I'm using Canna Aqua Vega currently. With Canna's buffering, the max ph I've seen was 6.0

This is her from this morning. I don't have any pictures without the lights on. I'll do that tomorrow. Personally, I thought she was a lot bigger than my last (first ever dwc) grow with the Heavyweights Fast and Vast at this stage. Once I started my 12/12 light cycle, she exploded to a massive size. I was under the impression this one would do the same.

@kingKush84 You aren't running auto's on 12/12 are you? What PPM are you at with her? How much water does she drink in a weeks time?
No, it's currently on a 18/6 light schedule. The ppm is around 1100 ppm.

I knew you were going to say your PPM's were through the roof! I would have bet money on it and won. You have to get a handle on how to read and set your PPM level. There is ZERO reason a plant that size and age wants 1100PPM. While you have gotten lucky and haven't burned her the reason she is so small is because she is nute stunted from the high PPM level. I'm guessing you are following some published feed chart and not listening to your plant. Ease up on the nutes to a level the plant wants and she will rocket up in size.

Gotcha. I'll definitely read up on ppm more.

Do a bucket change. Set your PPM to 400PPM. In 24hrs take a PPM reading and report back here. Top off you bucket to what ever level you have it at but don't add back anymore nutes till we see where she is at.

What lvl should I try to maintain? Also how much nutes should I be putting into my water? Canna called for 53ml per 5 gallons. I only use about 36. Is that still too much? Also, could ppm hurt bud development? Or is that just lack of light? The reason I am asking, my last grow was smaller at this stage, but exploded when I switched nutes to flower. On the downside, the buds weren't big at all. How big should it be at this stage? Sorry for all the questions.

You have to listen to your plant, it's as simple as that! Over feeding is worse than under feeding IMHO. Over feeding she will just lock herself out. You need to figure out the amount of nutes to reach 400PPM yourself I can't answer that for you. I trust you have a PPM meter correct? You want her to be taking in equal levels of water and nutes or more nutes than water. If she is drinking more water than nutes you are feeding to high of a PPM level. I.E. you do a bucket change and set it to 400PPM in 24hrs you read whats left in the bucket and if you PPM is lower than 400 GOOD that means we can raise is some. If the PPM level is HIGHER than 400PPM then this means it's to hot and we need to lower the PPM's. If it's till at 390/410 then all is well and she is happy at this level till she wants more.

Here are a couple of picture of 3 different plants I grew. The first plant was on day 32 and the second plant was from day 36. Both were Mephisto Grape Crinkles. Simple GH FLORA 3 part in 3.5 gallon DWC buckets. The last "small" plant is a DNA Kushberry at day 37. Looking at my records she was at 409PPM at this point.

How do I lower ppm in water? My water at the house is above 600 already. [emoji53] I think I need to find some RO water and start using that.
