Im no expert mate but it kinda looks like the start of a phosphorus deficiency. I read that coco contains very little P or calcium but canna puts extra in to compensate. Maybe try the live help thread?
Few more goldy brown spots on bigger fan leaves.. Nothing major so I think I might give her a good flush tomorrow? Would that help with the, issue? Shea got mighty big stalk too!
Im not really experienced enough to give you advice mate but since no ones chipped in yet.
Goldy brown spots or speckles are signs of a calcium deficiency but it usually starts on the newer growth top and middle of the plant.
If its down low it could be pest damage (hopefully not though) but might be worth giving her a good inspection under the leaves for thrips or mites.
And i probably wouldnt flush her as she looks so healthy
Just some ideas buddy
Cheers man, I did check under the leaves and all is clear man, thank you.
I really think its nute burn as it only started once I introduce more.just wanted to confirm it with all u eagle eye growers to be sure.
Well I hope that's all it is and the new growth is all perfect
Thanks very much man, its all down to the genetics, and all the team here at AFN.
This is panic stage now though. I've never had such a monster of a plant, now I'm just gonna post pics prob everyday and,you guys will need to keep me right! I don't wanna mess this up. If I get one ounce of this ill be well chuffed but honestly I'm hoping for a lot more..maybe two lol
Hi Seasick.
It doesnt look like you over did it with the nutes as i see no burnt leaf tips.
Sanguine is totally right, you wouldnt flush too often in Coco unless it is advised or as part of your schedule as you dont want to wash everything out to get more deficiencies .
If the problem consists check the PH of the run off which im sure your used to by now, just to make sure nothing is wrong there first.
She looks great man, beautiful leaf structure and shes nice and big too.
Im with you now mate. Your growing in a soil cocoa shell mix and using coco nutes.
How you like the mixture did the cocoa shells all mulch or dissolve into the soil after a while and what did the ph stabilise at.
Sorry for all the questions just really interested in that mix
