Grow Mediums Dry period.

Hey GoeRilla. It depends on the strain/phenotype and what age shes at. It also depends on what substrate you are using. Soil needs to breath a little more then coco for example.
Im not sure at what stage you are at or how you girl looks like.

Somewhere around day 20 i have found it best to start the automatic feeding. But before that, around day 14 or so i start with given manual bottom feedings.
When you see she can handle the manual bottomfeedings you try turn on the autopot. If she looks droopy you turn off to autofeeding and gives a couple more handfeedings then you try the autofeeding again.

My plants basicly stands in 1cm of water al the time, im using coco with airdomes and the girls love it.

A photo or some more info would help a lot to help you out.

Not long at all, some trays constantly wet, but normaly as soon as the tray is empty it fills up again.

Here is a video showing how it works

Thank you.
I Was hoping for a little longer dry period, not for cannabis but for chilli seedlings in a tray.
I know that cannabis and tomatoes grow fine even they are wet all the time but I want to find a way to give the plants a dry period
without having to use a pump. I use Tropf Blumats for bigger plants but not in 4 cm pots.

Rilla.

You can put a shutoff valve right on the output of the tank and just turn off the water manually for a while if you want. Not ideal since its manual, but it would give you what you
want. Or you can put a valve in front of a particular pot/tray too.

Also you can contact the autopot guys and ask them if they have any trick ways to do this. They are good at replying to email, but take a day because of time zones.
