Hi guys, im having problems with my outdoor guerilla grow. I cannot afford visit my spot every two or three days only once per week or so. Its too hot here where i live the soil dries out too fast, after 2 days its completely dry. Is there any method to keep the soil moist longer after watering. This is my first guerilla grow so i dont have much experience. Thanks in advance for help.

Hey mate, a good thick layer of mulch is going to help keep moisture in and heat out:thumbsup:

Besides covering and insulating the surface, perhaps work some vermiculite into the soil. Or even hardware stores (in Eastern US) sell high-tech super water-absorbing materials to be worked into garden soil. Also, maybe try to further shade the surface of the soil (but not the plant).

Mulch would be a good idea. There are many ways of mulching; plastic, newspaper, straw(hay will have seeds), and wood chips. Often towns have a free wood chipping pile that you can access. Other than that you could probably get a large water container and set up 1/4 inch irrigation hosing with small emitters. Adding more organic material or even a small amount of clay might work.

What about that wool felt carpet underlay stuff with some wood chippings on top of that.
