Indoor Drying and Curing Question

I personally use the paper bag method. After 3-4 days ready to jar. I have had some nasty pheno types before. I grew 5 dark devils and 1 of them just tasted and smelt like shit. Nothing I did just a ugly duckling. It went into a pot of spaghetti sauce lol.

Hi guys
So still iv been curing in jars for over a week, had a little more smell come through but other then that still no taste..
once i chopped, we trimmed them down slight and hung them in a cardboard box within my grow tent just by the extractor fan at the top (Carbon Filter Connected)
the box did have and slight gap around the top lid which i left for ventilation
after couple days it started feeling soft and spongy and after a couple for the started to swell up, then on fifth day the stem started to snap off, i then put straight into a paper bag for couple days and then straight into jars....
still after more then 12 days of cure i have nothing from the bud

Anymore suggestions?
can the bud grow mold and just die out and if so how cud i prevent this in the future?
when i crush a bud it still smells quite nice but as soon as u light it the taste doesnt compare to how it smells, as i sed no taste what so ever
also one more question just before u are ready to chop, does the soil have to be more or less dry?
If the soil is still very wet before a chop, will it affect the overall taste n smell?

I'm not sure that you have a problem, Dave. I've grown many plants that don't have a very strong smell in the jar, but smell great when you grind up a bud. And canna definitely doesn't always taste like it smells. Sometimes there just isn't much flavor in the finished product. Doesn't sound like you've done anything to cause it to be this way based on how you described your drying process. I personally let my soil dry out a bit before harvest, but that should have no effect on taste after curing.

You just leave them in brown paper bags, lying down or hung ?
