I was considering drying this years harvest in my barn. However temps in my barn are 83+, depending on the weather. Would this be a bad idea?

:DWeed should be dryed in a cool medium humid location. It also likes to be dryed slowly.I think the temps in your barn would dry it to fast.Try and find a cooler place if you can and dry it slowly and it will turn out better.

hmm, maybe I can make a box and put them in my house for a few days to dry. Its 70-73 in here

Depends on type of barn . I have dried in the lower level of a Bank barn. Thing is it will kind of take on the smells it is dried around.
We did dry in an old tobacco drying shed once or twice ..Took on an interesting taste, course thats been quite a few years ago on both counts
I'd say go head and build yourself a nice drying box just watch your RH and air flow. :2cents:

That's how the local cash croppers dry all that orange haired M-39 that seems to be grown ALOT around here.
All the bud tastes like barn hay.

Sometimes whiffs of manure.
Like Man In The Jar said "Depends on the type of barn"
