Harvest & Curing drying question

What RH should I be looking for when buds go from drying to curing? Right now my jar runs about 65% when I put bud in it and let it sit for 30 min.

If your at 65% in your jars, you could pop in a boveda 62 now and let the cure begin. I go 4 weeks minimum cure.

You may want to burp once a day for a few more days. Take a good whiff right off the top of the jar when you open it. If you get a green smell, keep burping. Once you get a good weed smell, you can quit burping. This is how I do it, everybody has their own.

I bought the Boveda 62 packs on Amazon. I've got some buds that have been in a jar with a Boveda pack for 2 years, and it's good as new and nicely cured.

for 2 years .... :O wont the weed go moldy ....?

Usually, for long term storage, you wanna use the Boveda packs that are in the 50% range, but I don't think you'll get mold using a 62. If you can use them for curing for a few months and get no mold, I'd assume you can use it for longer periods of time and get no mold. That's just my assumption, though

right ok, was doing some research into boveda packs, and they say for long term storage you will want to change the packs every 6 months but like you say you could prob use them longer just make sure they dont dry out prob chuck a mini rh meter for 12 hours to check its still at the correct level. also they have quite a long shelf life when not using, also some people say you can rehydrate them but tbh wouldnt wana risk splitting the boveda packet.

and also was watching a video about long term storage and they say its like whiskey and a longer cure done correct will give you a better smoke :P

oh and the also rate the CVault, but im good with kilner jars atm

just bought a 17 liter Cvault going to try it out

nice one, its highly rated, have you watched the vids on youtube of guys doing the 6 week cure etc
