I think DP first offered the groundbraking autos, the evolution to LowRyders. Bigger plants, bigger yields, more consistency, nice effects and so on - all these factors are key for customers.
The all time favorite in my parts is AutoMazar, probably the most grown autoflowering strain around.
I tried TD and AX outdoors and they didn't amaze me, overall nice but not what I need for my growing style.
I totally understand the "generic" high opinion, but understand that most growers don't want to mess with african or thai sativas indoors. Maybe a few growing only for themselves(like me
go for exotic varieties and explore new, non-generic genetics.
