Deer Defense - human hair from barber shop

Here's what I have done in similar situation (lots of elks n deers here.) Mark your territory.
You should pee in a bottle and leave it open next to your plants. They hate to eat plants that smell urine specially if you are meat eater like I am.
I used Ferramol to kill the slugs. a lot less of them this summer on my site. :hump: Copper wire wrap around the stem might also work against slugs. Copper I have not try yet. Goods speed for your grow GROWNBICHZ. :peace:

When I was in high school, the school kept trying to plant the football field with grass but the deer kept ruining it. They tried a bunch of different things - I remember they tried blood meal (everybody said it would work but it didn't).

Finally they solved the problem (completely) by having the football team gather human hair from the local barber shops (they swept itup and kept it for us thru out the day then we'd pick it up after school) then scattering it on top of the newly planted grass field.

We had alot of hair (many 5 gallon buckets full of it) but it was a whole 100 yard x 50 yard field too.

It worked great! The deer stopped eating the new growing grass.

Hey nice1 GB ... im thinking of doing something like this in march + ?. depending on uk weather. Good to see bud.... I heard that broken up egg shell around the stem,on the soil ect stops slugs as they dont like climbing over it ??.(haven't tried it yet) ... & takin' a leak around the area once a week is good for deer !. :peace:

Thanks Vira the egg shells do work for the slugs but as for the deer the fencing & fishing line was the only things that worked for me. Had a bottle of piss beside the plants for the hole grow & topped them up each time but they still came back. Iv a large dog also put his hair around the plot aswel no luck. You could see were the deer were grazing every time I went too the plot so be careful . This years seasons nearly here cant wait. Hopefully we get some sun :peace:
