inh, great grow!:booya:seven jars of fantastic bud!:smokeit: well done mate! +rep.

Kama, Being a noob I can agree that my cal mag def looked alot like those spots that you have. I tried to keep the pH around 5.8, but it did sometimes slip below. The cal/mag was the only issue that I had other than sometimes the light maybe being too close, I was going to ask you how high your light was that really yellow top growth could be some light stress too.

Astro thanks for the rep! and If could have your address ;-) I'll get that fiver right out too ya!

hi INH,
about the light i am sure it's not thet, i allweys checked. the yellowing was on new groth, from the central part of it towards the outside. it changed to green when i made a res change in a metter of HOURS. thet's what i like in DWC - you can 'inject' solution to the water and fix it immediately. or just do res change. unlike soil or coco, where you have to wait DAYS to fix problem.

my plants waiting for rez change. you can see the yellowing of the new groth.

example of zinc deficiency -

the yellowing of new groth could be zinc deficiency, and the 'strap like' shape of young leaves in new groth could be calcium def.

my plants, calcium deficiency?

both can be caused by too much phosphorus and\or pottasium. i think we use way too much bloom nutrients whan we should use more veg nutes. probably because we think thet if the plant had showen sex 3 weeks ago, we are in the fourth week of bloom. and we used bloom to veg nutes ratio according to the manufecturer chart, thet doesn't appropriate autoflower strains.

i don't know if i can post here link to other forums, but i can copy & pest. so here are a few explanations:

Potassium (K):
Abundance: this is pretty rare to notice, excess potassium usually isnt absorbed by the plants but can mess with levels of magnesium, manganese zinc and iron. This in turn leads to salt damage acid fluctuations and possibly a calcium deficiency

Phosphorus (P):
Abundance: too much can affect plant growth by suppressing the intake of iron, potassium, copper and zinc. (wierd huh? but yea, phosphorus abundance is generally followed by a zinc deficiency)

Calcium Deficiency:
Young leaves are affected first and become small and distorted or chlorotic with irregular margins, spotting or necrotic areas. Bud development is inhibited, blossom end rot and internal decay may also occur and root may be under developed or die back. Deficiency will cause leaf tip die-back, leaf tip curl and marginal necrosis and chlorosis primarily in younger leaves. Symptoms: young leaves develop chlorosis and distortion such as crinkling, dwarfing, developing a strap-like shape, shoots stop growing and thicken.

Calcium Toxicity:
Difficult to distinguish visually. May precipitate with sulfur in solution and cause clouding or residue in tank. Excess calcium may produce deficiencies in magnesium and potassium.

happy growing to all!!!

excellent thread great grow, lots of info, will come back to this again.tks:peace: and good karma

INH, take a fan off at the trunk and put it on the tip of your tongue, if its sour continue flushing, when its a sweet almost clear taste its flushed yea. Ab..........good so far though.............

Did a res change today put in the Base nutes at quarter strength, added big bud and bud candy at full strength, Cal/Mg at half strength, half strength root stim, and a little ata clean to keep the pipes clean:D. Took some more pics too, got some showing the top and some showing the middle and lower parts of the plant, popcorn anybody?????? It is getting hard to move them around, almost broke a side branch getting one back into the box, checked the trichs yesterday, and still seeing mostly clear, with a few cloudy, but no amber yet.

I think that this will be the last res change with nutes, this week i'll still probably top up with nutes, but I'll be watching the trichs.

Anybody have any suggestions how long I should flush them for? Never done this before, all help would be greatly appreciated, thanksView attachment 69828View attachment 69841View attachment 69840View attachment 69839View attachment 69838View attachment 69837View attachment 69836View attachment 69835View attachment 69834View attachment 69832View attachment 69831View attachment 69830View attachment 69842

INH, how did you make the hash in pic no4 bro ??.............it looks dry sift ??.........but you would need alot to make that little puc ...............ab

Here are some pics of the hash, the root balls, and the finished product in the jars.. Hope you like, I know that I am!!!

And a preview of the future grow DWC, got my pump yesterday and a comparo contrasto between two count em two! aquariaum pumps ,and 1 hailea v-60 in a 20L bucket. This pump is the bomb!!!! Cant wait to get the cab tweaked for the next grow.
